extremely skilled and dedicated
soldier (either role) in low/mid advanced or top of main
i am also willing to start a team
i've played every class at some point; see links below for history
one hell of a match, good game guys.
Tery_Bring back Morin you cowards!
i would love nothing more than to witness his triumphant return...
We are looking for backups; a medic backup would be particularly appreciated due to work schedule woes. All classes appreciated though. You will get scrim time; you can hang out and watch demos with us; etc.
We are 2wycked esports in the main division and our roster is
medic - tojo
demo - trap
soldiers - displace // willy
scouts - sobigallmytoesarebigtoes // smashysmashy
add me
he was quite good and dedicated when I played with him back in the day; I have no doubt that those things are still true now.
I haven't played this game seriously since the preseason/start of esea im s22, whereupon I stopped because I wasn't having much fun (played open s25 but did not grind much, was mostly for fun). However, I decided I needed a hobby other than grinding math, and I am having a lot of fun playing tf2 again.
I've spent the last couple years grinding irl and essentially "learning how to improve rapidly" (applied to doing research in math), and so I would like to apply some of that to this game. I think I have a fair amount of potential for improvement that I was just never able to push past due to mindset problems before, and now that I've sorted myself out and fixed those mindset problems, I think this return to the game can be pretty successful.
Hence I am looking for a (invite or top adv? not 100% on how the divs compare with old esea divs) person to help me relearn this game... I would like to watch demos of course; but I would particularly appreciate someone who is willing to just discuss the game: both how to play individually in various situations and how the "flow" of the game should work/be thought about on a team level. Help with main calling would be appreciated too.
Unexpected absences lead to us not being able to play our first 2 matches (my excuse was way cooler than alex's excuse), and so to avoid that in the future we're looking for backups. Playoff open experience at least is appreciated.
You'll def get scrim time. We would particularly appreciate a demo backup, as rj has highlander Sundays and Mondays.
current roster:
medic: willy
demo: rightjustify
pocket: displace
roamer: trap
scout: sobigallmytoesarebigtoes
scout: smashy
I've signed my team up for central conference as Citric recommended, and I hope everyone else will do the same-- conferences looked terribly unfun as a non-participant and I'm sure they were far less fun to experience.
Looking forward to a fun season with friends.
Spacecadet is a fantastic teammate, both in and out of game.
played with him in steel, he's a really cool guy. he taught english in a southeast asian country for a while after i played with him i think.
Truly excellent teammate.
