#361 Donald Trump in World Events
trippaTrump is pretty moderate politically to be honest, I would not consider him an extreme conservative

eXcept yknaow, that whole forcibliy deporting every illegal immigrant, blocking legal immigrants because they're muslim, saying that he'd kill the families of terrorists (war crime) and stating that he'd interrogate people using methods worse then waterboarding (waterboarding is tourture and a war crime).

But besides that, yeah pretty moderate.

#17 i58 in LAN Discussion

Whelp, just booked a double room with a sofa bed at the Holiday Inn Express Birmingham NEC 25th-29th. I didn't get quite the same deal but that's probably because I picked a booking I can cancel. I don't think I'll have to though. This trip is a big goal for 2016. I should be able to get the plane ticket and time off np.

Will be traveling Europe after the LAN, I think I'll fly into i58 then hit up my friends in France after. Maybe I can travel to SE France with some people Monday? I'll be going to Agen. hmu.

#102 i55 Demos in TF2 General Discussion
BeatereXtineAnyone taking notes on Ticks of amazing moments? I don't think we've gotten any submissions for the August Top 10 from i55 so far. We could use help gathering that information and I'm sure Beater/"whoever's working on a frag vid" could also use that info.
Way ahead of you. Me and a team have already reviewed a large amount of games and noted down ticks. There's still a lot of work to go, but we're making amazing amount of progress. I saw Luke added me on steam, so I'm sure he'll drop me a line if he needs anything

Thanks a lot Beater, that will be super helpful in pointing us in the right direction and saving us time.

We want to showcase the best plays every month but with a large event like i55 or the upcoming GXL LAN it really helps to have the assistance of spectators and players to make sure the best plays get featured. We've stressed this time and time again in regards to the top 10.

Neither Luc or I do this full time. Each episode's production already takes a long time (Where's July?) and for us to devote a large chunk of time to making sure we've combed all the demos impedes a lot of other progress. We'd love to have more collaboration with people to make sure the process goes smoothly.

#1 eXtv @ PAX in Other Games

Yyyaaoooo!!!

eXtv is holding it down at PAX right now doing an Indie showcase. Myself and Insomniuhh are switching off hosting duties and having a grand ol' time with a bunch of great games. If you happen to be at PAX swing through and say waddup. Talked with thrasher and fluffyanimals yesterday. Been a lot of fun. We'll split up the vod into the individual game highlights neXt week.

If you don't have a PAX pass but are in Seattle, come to Gameworks tonight. We got gigantic going on and I'll be appearing on their stream which is using our equipment - http://www.twitch.tv/eXtvESports

#55 Top 10 TF2 plays - June 2015 in News

Thanks digresser, nice post <3

KanecoI mean isn't it telling why they don't submit more? Literally the lowest skilled division in the game, a Iron UGC match and a random Arena:Respawn match got a higher ranking than a 6k between 2 of the best teams in europe.

If that's the catch 22 they are stuck in that's unfortunate. "Mad about "low skill" plays being put at the top? Let's not submit our much better plays and then complain about how we're better then what's on display!". We need clips. People complaining that they've made better plays might help our youtube comment section stay busy but it doesn't help the series get better.

It is a top plays of the month, based off of our submissions. Our rankings could always be finetuned a little more. In hindisght I would have probably adjusted 2 downward. While Herr_p was doing solid damage with each shot of his, it wasn't the most eXciting clip. I stand by our #1 choice.

#48 Top 10 TF2 plays - June 2015 in News
CorsaIs it possible that the extv (or other casting organizations) casters/cameraman submit clips whenever they come across something worthy in their cast? I know there were plenty in the plat grand finals, for instance. It comes down to the players being lazy, including myself, unfortunately.

I think the casters/cameramen are in the same boat as the players. If something amazing happens, we (generally speaking here to include all the tf.tv contributors) usually don't have time to double back because we're already getting ready for the neXt match/tournament.

Myself or Luc being full time would help this situation but we still would need more eyes considering all the games being played.

Ideally this help would come from the more dedicated spectators or semi-pro comp players that are watching a ton of matches and demos. If you're watching a demo or vod and you see a crazy play that deserves to be highlighted then please help us get it in the series.

We really do want this to be the TOP 10 plays of the month.

#44 Top 10 TF2 plays - June 2015 in News

Wow... this thread... smh

It all comes down to clips submitted. The Highlander community has responded over the course of our 52+ episodes by submitting more plays for consideration. This has helped them become more prevalent in our series.

Ranking at the top was hard this month, but all feelings aside I thought Spanish Inquisitions play was a crazy intense clutch. Herr_P's play was very significant and against great opposition, but the clip is him scratching down 6 players who mostly aren't looking at him.

We literally do not get nearly enough ESEA clips from Invite players. Are people really stuck on this mentality of saving your clips for just your own personal frag videos? If you can't be bothered to spend the time to track down the tick of an amazing moment, send us a time mark of a broadcast with the demo file.

Luke and I get disappointed with the quality clips sometimes as well, but it's our job to try and put the best product out there. We need the community's support when it comes to submissions and this is something we've stated time and time and time again.

Please please please submit your clips.
