don't like this idea since me and cinq talked ages ago on this issue and agreed we should leave the classes open for use. I've already removed the restriction of the class
majority of my excessive off-class bans come from my personal guidelines which some of you already know from past chats after a ban.
- no off-classing to mid
- running an off-class consecutive lives outside of last
- having over half the time played on an off-class compared to time on the CLASS YOU WERE PICKED ON (ie. 20:00 scout; 11:00 sniper)
- off-class bans do not pertain to just one class, other class times are incorporated
- off-classing as demo or pocket
- off-classing as medic outside of last during dire situations
I do get that odd situations occur and i don't just glance at stats and insta-ban. I will message people from the pug for info and i also take into account other factors (time:death for class, time spent on either last). If i don't find enough here i will review the demo and make a call after.
The biggest problem with controlling the issue is admin discretion is inconsistent due to random factors so it's not possible to have clear-cut rules.
to those of you who were left banned for an extended period, i apologize for that, since that was before speedy implemented the time ban system and we had to manually remove bans based on the times of our posts in the admin group which isn't as easy as it sounds and bans were left unnoticed.
I am nowhere near as active as i used to be and don't plan on being so in the future but i figured u guys could break down what i use and from there maybe we can collaborate on a general guide to off-classing in mixes
