I tried doing that once in college for an exam that I barely went to class, so I had a shit ton to read before the exam. That shit just made me stay wide awake and procrasturbate the entire night away.
I've had to write 1000s of papers over the years and the best way for me is to start with the body and just start writing away. After 4-5 pages of writing (I guess it depends on how long yours is, but mine were never less than about 10-12 pages) go back and read it as an outline to gauge where you are at. Expand parts that need more information and start citing in this step too, then remove any BS filler. At this point, you may have enough to write a good intro. If not, either keep writing if you have more ideas or drive into some of your books for a little refresher.
