mastercomsTry these launch options
-novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -noff -nohltv -softparticlesdefaultoff -reuse -primarysound -snoforceformat -swapcores -high -r_emulate_gl
Any reason you use windowed mode?
my tf2 keeps changing the resolution from 1980x1080 to 1980x1020 (dunny why) its giving me a black screen foe 2 seconds every time my game is launching.
- I'll try these launch options
mastercomsWhat folder did you install it in and what were your launch options when you tried my config?
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\my_custom_stuff\cfg
and: -windowed -noborder -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid (<- not 100% sure)
EDIT: fps were fine with the config tho - it just felt like 10 fps or something...
mastercomsSorry to hear that! Did you properly reset TF2 and install it in the correct folder with the specified launch options? and what preset did you use?
yes i did reinstall it properly. I dont know what i could have possibly done wrong.
and what exactly do you mean with 'preset'?
Included_Middletry removing all the windows 10 bs like dvr, try fullscreen and maybe try mastercomms config: http://www.teamfortress.tv/42867/mastercomfig-fps-customization-config
i'll try - thanks
EDIT: this config gives my gameplay a heavy stuttering
-rep :c
Sentinelfstiv_i used dx 9.0 but a friend told me dx8.1 is better.
Neither is better, both have their pros and cons. Dx8 is usually better for fps but a lot of people say that dx9 feels smoother so it's all personal preference.
Also, are you using an fps config?
yes im currently using Comanglia's Max FPS Config
Ascendfstiv_AscendWhat dx level? Have you tried reinstalling tf2? Have you tried adding more launch options?i used dx 9.0 but a friend told me dx8.1 is better.
Im reinstalling the game right now...
I've tried these launch options so far (w/o -refresh 144)
I'd recommend 8.1, fair enough, I use these launch options and have a worse cpu than you but get constant 300+
-sw -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd
useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd are outdated
also what is -sw?
i used to have +300fps as well but something is corrupted maybe :c

My Pc:
CPU: intel i5-4460 @ 3.20 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960
RAM: 16 GB
2 SSD's no HDD
Bscly only windows (newest nvidia drivers) and tf2 installed.
Win 10 Home (just reinstalled 3 days ago)
I never had these problems before but since 2-3 weeks my TF2 has some really distracting fps drops.
I've tried many fps configs and different launch options.
current launch options: -windowed -noborder -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -refresh 144
My Framerate is fine until i arrive on (example) cp_snakewater mid - then it drops down from between 200-300 fps to somewhere between 100-130 fps
I have a 144hz moitor and its boring to play with less FPS then the monitor could give me.
EDIT: i just did read that some huds can cause lower fps than other huds do. Im currently using FesHud.
Is it maybe my hud as well?
Does some1 knows why my TF2 is currently like this?

DanceNumberIf you havevn't fixed it, change visisble to 0 in this part of MainMenuOverride.res
http://puu.sh/6Jn3X.png
picture is gone can you tell me the part to edit pls?
JarateKingIt's sorta already implemented. hud_damagemeter is a console command that shows your DPS, and the time can be changed by hud_damagemeter_period 60 to show DPM instead (might need to mess with hud_damagemeter_ooctimer too), but unfortunately it's locked by cheats.
oh :c thanks anyway :D
Is there a way to add the DPM to the scoreboard info box?
maybe in here -> \Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom\hud\resource\ui\Scoreboard.res
rocketslaywhy would you get new editing software if ur gonna stop making frag vids
HitFilm is free2have
THEBILLDOZERthe overediting isnt always that bad, but the quality of clips need to reflect it. Nobody wants to see you take 12 shots to kill a soldier. at 1:00 there was 10 cuts before you even killed anyone. Thats like, 8 cuts more than anyone cares to see.
Better clip selection, and better transitions. Those black frame cuts are the equivalent of not using bank turns in rollercoaster tycoon. Its jarring and makes the consumer feel sick.
ye ive arldy changed the title to "Edited" (i think that one fits more) and put - **Epilepsy Warning** into the video description
