I really don't see an incentive for any former prem player to keep grinding and practicing since they already proved they are capable of it, you can imagine they just want to compete for fun and not for the sake of being the best.
Thats the whole point of playing in a team. It makes no point to just consciously decide nerf yourself to play vs people you know youre better than. u might as well just play pugchamp all day nd not have a team.
its like a chess player with 2600 elo deciding never to compete in tournaments and just playing vs homeless people in washington square park
