you said you didn't set up traps so i said that to show you that you, as well as every othe demo, do set up traps like every chance u get.

i don't think you're reading what i'm saying properly. you are supposed to flail and vomit out 10000 projectiles that do 100 damage because that IS what the class is designed to do. you're just practising it completely wrong because what 'demo dm' consists of is not found in the places where you're practising it.

its only found in 6s and thats it

like ammo management for example is extremely important but u playing dm/mge isnt gonna teach you those things and also the situations where people are gonna fight you are completely different so because you are 'shooting at the map and not the players' as Air rightfully said, the way in which you do so in a real game is gonna be different because players aren't gonna approach you the same way.

take a fight vs a scout, for example. in a gamemode like dm and mge, the scout is gonna run at you obviously head on because its got nothing else to do, so your instinct, as well as every other demo in these gamemodes is to fire a sticky like directly in front of you

but in a real game, there's other factors that change the decision making of that scout such as health, ammo, how many players are with that scout, how many players are with that demo, etc and therefore that scout, even if he is actively trying to kill you, isn't gonna approach the fight in the same way

which is an exmaple of why what ur learning to do in those gamemodes designed for soldiers and scouts is completely useless

and if we look at the pool of demos in prem, kaidus for example because he was known as the demo dm guy

never seen him in mge at all ever and only heard of him playing soldier there before his wrist
seems to only play dm whilst waiting for a 6s game
spends like all of his time in a 6s server

and this is kind of the same for 90% of prem/invite demos that aren't habibs which is a different case because

habib has the rinnegan
habib is a drug addict
habib is bannys friend

so u and other confused demos have this idea like this is just the path to ultimate pippeage but you're wrong u just need to play 6s and learn where to shoot on the map.

wat do you mean? you play demo in mge like every day and thats all u and all the other demos do. before u even see the guy u have already set up a trap that u vomited out and then u start vomitting pipes and insta killing ppl and pretending that what u just did was aiming

im pretty sure that 'demo dm' is context dependent by which i mean its to do with the map design/what you're trying to do (defend/offend) + movement and not like the other classes in which its the same thign just aim/movement

which means if u want to have better demo dm in order to climb up divisons in 6s the best thing and only way you can practice this is by just playing demo in 6s a lot so that you familiarise yourself with the maps and different situations that need to be covered
