The standard 6v6 class composition has no connection to the word "meta" or "meta-game" but yet people insist on using it. It is overused and much of the time, it's incorrect. We're off-message in this thread now though. Believe me, I'm not clueless to the word and its meaning.

This one is a losing battle, I'm afraid. Once enough people on the internet misuse a word, it becomes correct.

There's a popup which is supposed to appear and show you why your trade was rejected. It doesn't tend to pop up.

Try using the site at https://www.saloon.tf instead of the normal http. This fixed it for me.

Valve has already said Highlander is not what they want competitive to be, so I could not worry less about this tweet

EDIT: Actually here, let's get constructive. I feel a class limit of 2 would be a lot more reasonable, and feels just about right. I'm on the fence about whether to limit Medic/Heavy/Demo or whatever else to 1, but most 6v6 players I've spoken with agree class limit 1 is best for Medic at the very least. Having two completely destroys uber meta-game, uber counting, etc. But we have to assume Valve is trying to restrict as little as possible, and be ready for anything.

I mean he also called him a nobody which is false, and I can just see the thread heading in that direction. Sheepy's also here which is a great omen.

Let's stay away from personal attacks and stick to why we think his reasoning is bad

(And before anyone asks, the image I posted was not implying he's retarded, it's implying that rolling CEVO isn't that great of an accomplishment, which is demonstrated by his claim that they rolled it with a questionable class composition. With the exception of a couple really good teams in that league, you might as well say you beat disabled kids.)

In the interest of being way less offensive, if I roll my softball league by bunting on every at-bat, because none of the players are good enough to defend it, that doesn't mean all baseball and softball players should adapt to the new true style of bunting on every at-bat. But I'm sure we're all smart enough to see that.

Here's an off-hand thought - Melee never had a stream browser to let new players watch what is possible in the game from top competitive players. We have been told TF2 is getting that.
