funhaver1998it really doesnt make sense to me how so many ppl are content with ruining the fun of the videogame so that they can make money from playing the videogame. why didnt u ppl just go overwatch
they wouldn't make more money than they already do though
the TF2 devs cant do shit for us money wise, if you want valve (THE COMPANY, NOT THE TF2 DEVS) to give us a major you need to convince them that investing in a tournament WILL return a large profit without influencing current prices of items in a negative way, for example if 6s was played with our rules, the price of heavy cosmetics wont go down even if heavy isn't seen anywhere but on last and even then only for 2 seconds
also gl trying to get the person who tunes in for 15 minutes while browsing twitch manages to understand the huge importance of ubers which is easier said than done since in dota 2 and csgo the objective and how to reach it is really easily understandable, for csgo its plant/defuse a bomb by getting to a bombsite or kill the enemy team, for dota its destroy the ancient by destroying towers and barracks
in tf2 you have 5cp which is a foreign format for a fuckton of people, A/D, KOTH and payload are easier to understand but then you lose the quality of gameplay that 5cp offers
cosmetics do nothing but shit the entire situation up even more, skins in overwatch still leaves every character recognizable whereas some cosmetics change the silhouettes too much for the casual viewer to be able to instantly tell which class it is what the fuck is this
LegendaryRQAPoint is. In all of these examples. People are forced to play with of against something they didn't like, (the keyword being "forced" there) and it was subsequently changed. TF2 is very different in this respect. It almost never receives changes to the base game and if you think about it, it makes sense as to why from a developers point of view.
If you play in a version of a game where that item literally does not exist. I had no impact on the game as you play it. Changing it does not effect you. It doesn't matter if the Wrangle is the single most unfair weapon ever to exist you literally never have to play against it. So what's the point in changing it? The don't change it probably for the same reason they don't change items to balance Jailbreak. In all of the examples i listed above the player accepted the game the way it was and gritted their teeth and played it whether they liked it or not. And if they didn't like it, you would hear about it. The Developers would hear about it, and it would be eventually changed. That doesn't happen in TF2. Because if we don't like something. Like more then 1 Medic, the Wrangler, ect. we just ban it and never think about it again. This is vary clearly NOT what the TF2 Devs, (or any other developer) wants.
community: hey dudes we would like to play with wrangler but as it looks right now its kinda broken and very unfun :/ the thing that is currently broken is: too much fucking hp and it just denies pushes too easily, we suggest doing this to fix it [...]
valve:
COOL MAN EPIC continue ignoring previous attempts at testing unlocks and coming to conclusions how fucking broken they are and not be given a balance patch even after telling the devs which values to change in order for the weapon to be fun and fair
LegendaryRQAAnd you know what the worst part is? We know this. We've know this for years. Have some time capsules.
This and this are both from 4 years ago
This is from yeas 6 ago
Notice how they all seem to be saying the same thing?
damn they are all from before meet your match was released which was also released with a lot of bugs still not patched out of it from when it was beta tested because devs didnt care lol!!
LegendaryRQARead this. Internalize it. Accept it. Embrace it. Become one with it.
when asked about that nursey avoided answering and was silent for the rest of the thread, when b4nny was asked what the devs have told him he jumps around the question like some shitter on spire or at best gives the most vague statement
LegendaryRQATHEY ARN'T IGNORING US, WE'RE IGNORING THEM!!!
so how come when we told them what to fix in meet your match they ignored it and released it without patching shit
the community is like a mother to some shut in neet who refuses to take responsibility at this point lolol
LegendaryRQAI'm going to preface this with the fact that i do not pretend to understand how Valve or Sigafoo (or anyone else for that matter) thinks. These are observations i have made after playing games for a long time.
ye bro i can tell you're been observing well.... your only tftv posts are either about anime, unbanning unlocks, making the learning curve simpler, making the game a successful esport like dota by simply saying "ok devs we play by ur rules"
your third post (would be second if u didnt fatfinger ur entire keyboard) on this site is
LegendaryRQABecause that's not how basically every other E-Sport works. In dota, you don't get to remove Eye of Skadi because its "unfun to play against".
in response to "What's the logic behind unbanning unlocks" and i can tell u for a fact that the way esports work is that the publishers of the game fund tournaments with specific rules (USUALLY EXISTING COMMUNITY DECIDED RULES), the community plays with these tournament rules because there's no fucking use in playing with other rules than what the majors use because the majors are what you'll focus on winning
LegendaryRQAOk, so it's obvious that Sigafoo 6s is not particularly popular... No big surprise there... But i'm here to explain why his prospective is in fact not flawed, and probably the most correct course of action.
In the majority of competitive games, the casual side is basically indistinguishable from competitive (with some minor expeditions, like Dota using Captains Mode). What this means is that a viewer can watch a game on a stream and then immediately implement it into their own games. That's not the case so much in TF2 unless, of course, you're talking about highlander, but even then strategies can't be properly appropriated.
damn its like we got given a game, liked the mechanics, asked ourselves: how the fuck do we make this mess into a competitive game? the community decided after testing 5v5, 6v6, 7v7 and other things that 6v6 was the best way, then for a brief time people could use shit like 2 demos (which later got reduced to 1 because of how strong the class was)
cs 1.6 was also a fucking mess in the start but the community decided the best way to compete in it was by playing 5v5, timelimit 1:45 and starting money 800 (crazy how similar they are to the current csgo rules?!?!?!)
valve decided after some time to use tf2 as a testing ground for in game economies, which has later made its way to portal 2, dota 2 and csgo
( https://youtu.be/RHC-uGDbu7s and https://youtu.be/gd_QeY9uATA
kinda funny how the first video has this image with leagues written on it when talking about letting your users fight to improve your product )
while valve used to help out the community a lot (adding command to disable random crits) they have with time cared less, the Team Fortress 2 Test (game to test new weapons and cosmetics) has been removed from libraries and since theres so many items, pubs are a fucking mess, csgo casual pubs are a fucking mess
the csgo devs implemented mm to follow the rules of cs 1.6/css comp rules and people liked it
the tf2 devs implemented mm to use their own rules and people disliked it (MAYBE BECAUSE DEVS ARENT GOOD AT PLAYING THEIR PRODUCT?!?!?)
LegendaryRQAThere seems to be a pattern of developers for competitive games. Game has bad/flawed mechanic. People are forced to play with that bad/flawed mechanic. People Bitch about it on reddit and twitter. Developers change that mechanic. This seems to happen consistently across all games. Here are some examples:
tf2 bad mechanic = mm uses retarded rules
developer response = dont care, going silent
LegendaryRQA1) Dota 2. This happens all the freaking time in this game but the most noticeable example is when respawn talents were a thing. Nobody liked them. Everyone whinge about how game braking they were. Making heros like Lone Druid and Lina way to good. They all got removed after a few months. Another notable example was when the Sniper/Troll meta made people want to quit.
dota 2 and every other game on this list has waaaay more devs than tf2
LegendaryRQASecond. The R8 Revolver. After smoking several questionable substances the devs thought it would be a good idea to put a 850$ AWP in the game. Needless to say, people were not happy about it, and it promptly got nerf. Apparently a similar thing happened in 2014 with the CZ.
were banned in tourneys before it was tested to be balanced, the devs later fixed that themselves by not allowing the MP5 to be used in comp until a month after it got into the game to avoid potential abuse of the weapon and patching it before it was in competitive play
LegendaryRQAIII) Seagull made a 15 minute video about Overwatch's balance, and how it was not fun to play a lot of the times. Manly focusing on Brigita's Combo that made Tracer unplayable against her. Within a few days of the video happening she was nerf.
goat meta was complained about since the day it was used, but lets use ur logic and apply it to tf2
uncle dane made a vid on why the wrangler is op almost a week ago!!!! where is nerf?? D:
LegendaryRQAD) Fortnight. Ok, i don't pretend to understand anything about fortnight. It's like some-kind of cartoony version of Destiny with a Battle Royal mode, right? Anyway. Apparently that game is putting it's foot in the competitive door as well, and supposedly people where bitching about certain RNG elements. Recently they changed how Rocket Launcher drop or are found or something. I don't know, i don't play it.
paging Copper
this virgin essay was too long for 1 post
last time I post on this site
I'm in my downtime between pugs and scrims and decided to share an interesting find and every one just decide to bash on me telling me to play the game more like man stfu i reached 100 hours past 2 weeks and only like 5 of them are from csgo and 2 of them in kovaaks, rest is all tf2
if my biggest issue at the current moment is gamesense than there is nothing more I can do than to scrim and look at my demos which I already do, what can I do while I'm not scrimming? maybe practice dm???
you right collaide perhaps the best way to improve is to join and leave teams left and right, seems to be working out for you bro, after winning div 1 you're having a successful season in prem... oh wait
y'all fucking jealous someone trying to improve more than u so ur only way to cope is to shit on them in hopes they lose motivation
mad cuz bad mr. "scouts don't need good dm"?
Makfuck off u fucking cringe noob imagine thinking about having to aim, explains why ur so fucking shit fuck u hamaham
sorry bro. this is a thread for Hitscan Mains only, lol, beat it.
Found this while trying to find a fix to a refresh rate problem with KovaaK's FPS Aim Trainer
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vaba3potfhf9jy1/KovaaK%20aim%20workout%20routines.pdf?dl=0
Some interesting things I picked out specifically
- ... being consistent and playing every day of the week is more rewarding than playing 10 hours today and none for the next 3, that is, the number of consecutive days is a better measure of training than the number of hours.
- Improvement happens on a daily basis and during sleep. It is therefore very important, especially for aiming skills that rely on your reaction time and awareness, to sleep well. If you’re a try hard, you should split your mechanics training: play 1 hour now, and 1 hour later in the day. If you’re even more of a try hard, you can take naps between training sessions if you feel the need to.
As well as
- click-timing dominated routines: if you care more about “clicking heads” rather than tracking you should play this one. This routine is not called a flick routine because flicking is a small part of this type of aim. If someone tells you that he has a flick aiming style, then he is definitely a retard and you should ignore him*. In particular, the best sensitivity range for click-timing aim is above 30cm/360◦. Flicks are easier with cloth and high friction mouse-pads because it is easier to stop your mouse where you want to.
*The average accuracy of flicks is lower than anything else. It can of course be useful to switch (or lock a) target, which means that after the first flick your crosshair is supposedly close to the target. At this point, it is almost always better to micro-correct slowly and to time your shots to boost your accuracy rather than doing some idiotic flick to show off
Thoughts?
Yes, I also recently switched from a g400s to a Mionix Naos as my hands are a bit big (or at the very least, my fingers are long) and since I palm grip a lot it's been nice to rest my hand and fingers without scratching my mousepad.
I started noticing in my right arm when i played with 60cm/360 and have since switched to 21cm/360
Feels like my rsi is getting worse and it's kinda scary to think that I'm compromising my health for this game, I still don't want to take a break just yet, I enjoy scrims, officials, dm and pubs and I want to improve so when I quit I can quit for good without feeling like I didn't reach my goal. I'm feeling time pressured since I want to improve enough to get on a good team for LAN and really prove people wrong in case it's my last LAN. My team doesn't scrim 5 days a week and I know I can't force others to commit to such a thing so I try to fill the void with pugs and mixes where I don't enjoy it 90% of the time. I think the slight pain of my rsi makes me want to rush my improvement even further so I don't end up being unable to reach my goal because I wasted time in other games or by not practicing in order to get better.
I feel like I've also become more cynical and bitter towards things whereas before I would just try to remain positive no matter what, I wouldn't say I'm the worst offender of being toxic but I feel like I've become incredibly toxic relative to what I was a few years ago. I contradict myself a bit since even though I feel a bit bad about how I react to some situations nowadays I still feel that I should be allowed to react in such manners.

Probably too low of a fruit for the genius that is Carpet Johnson
could also be that it doesn't fit the theme of the video
can we create the perfect tftv woman through multiple strawpolls and then commission an artist to draw our creation?
