upgrading is shit indeed, but a clean install should do you good. do it, its really worth it

TF2 Freeze + Windows 10 "sound playback" issue

I sometimes have the same freezing problem as you do. I can get CTRL+ALT+DELETE to work if i first alttab out of the game, and then ctrl alt delete. Then from there open task manager and kill tf2. no other way.
