This is a really great guide on teamplay. Very useful.
I don't mean to nitpick, though, but I disagree with the reason girls play medic. I'm female and have been playing off and on since '07. I wanted to play soldier (with scout as second choice), but so did everyone else on my team. I backed off because I didn't have the confidence to have that confrontation.
In general, I think girls have less experience (and therefore confidence) in competitive gaming than guys do, and it's almost impossible to get turned away as a medic. Someone somewhere will always want one.
Also, we're all socialized to believe that females have the societal responsibility to be the "peacemakers," including women, and that increases girls' fear of confrontation.
Before TF2 I played games where everyone had a gun. Climbed the (small) competitive ladder, got picked first in pugs, etc. But everyone was on even playing ground--there wasn't a class no one wanted to play. Since TF2, I ended up maining medic just because that's the class people asked me to play.
