grapeProwerYou can get a pretty solid color grade with Vegas' color curves. MBL is kinda optionalThis. Color curves and saturation/contrast are all you really need for color, it's basically all I ever use save a little exposure or blur
Definitely the easiest method for getting good color is just drag the middle of each of the curves for each clip until you like where they are
skyride also made a great video about color burns and curves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFcDv5vRcTc
True, it is however your own preference. I have had a lot of request for the colour correction on most of my videos, so I just shared the method I use. I also did mention in the video that you can easily use the default plugins in Sony Vegas for colour correction which works great too.

go go LEGO!!
Lucky_ShotFigured out the problem, it wouldn't let me put the clip into vegas with the codec for some reason. What does the codec do?
What do you mean?
Lucky_ShotIs there an advantage to having RipBot 264 over easy h264?
Haven't tried easy h264, but from what I have seen you can't set custom bitrate while in Ripbot you can do whatever pretty much and using high custom RipBot settings helps since you end up having a sweet looking quality for YouTube and PC.
Lucky_Shot1440p resolution... thats a thing?
You end up getting original/ 1440p quality feature on YouTube. The quality looks super slick.

MightyMeIf you want, i can make a screenshot of my vdub + sony vegas rendering settinsg
That would be appreciated.
One of my friends suggested to try Ripbot and I was really happy with the end result. However, the quality on YouTube doesn't look amazing either. At least I now have a superb quality HQ video file.
