for music use, especially on your phone, its really good in terms of catching bass lines and subs. it does a fine job of staying in your ear on runs til your sweat drips down to your ear. if you just want good audio quality, these serve as fine of a job or even better than the bose earbuds ive had in the past. the price is obviously up to you, but id wait until a low price from a retailer or hope the gen 2 airpods cause the gen 1 airpods' price to drop.
SnackAbsolutely not. My experiences with all past Apple earphone products have always resulted in a tinny, unpleasant sound with barely any body and absolutely no noise isolation whatsoever. You could get some really great IEMs for the same price or even cheaper than a pair of airpods.
its far better than older apple products but its a pricey tradeoff
