#961 Wut hud/crosshair/cfg thread in Customization
izqscary Curiously enough i still have it in my dropbox but this hud is outdated so i don't think that it will work properly. But you can check it anyway, the folder is called "izq hud".

#304 The Mouse/Mousepad Thread v2 in Hardware
zambzbought an xtrfy mz1 recently after my zowie fk2's mouse1 stopped working, really happy with it
low weight, good mouse feet and i suppose also the shape make it incredibly easy to move around to the point where i had to lower my sens for it to feel normal, im now on 800 dpi 1,6 ingame and still find big yet precise movements really easy to make with this mouse, would recommend

having a cable is sort of annoying but after tying the excess up i dont really notice it while playing

how good do you think the mouse is for fingertip grip?

#8 Viewmodel Offset Customizer in Customization
sunderkeeninAimIsADickCan you make a BASH version of the generate script? It would be nice if Linux users could also use this tool, and from what I saw of the BATCH script, it shouldn't be too difficult. You'll need to get MDL working on Linux to do that. The bundled with TF2 studiomdl.exe is why Yttrium's viewmodel hider wasn't expected to play nice on Linux either.

I can say, however, that this works via WINE although I'm not sure what specific requirements there are because I used the accursed hellscape of a wineprefix I have for running literally anything that will run that doesn't require hyperspecific requirements. I couldn't get the yttrium viewmodel hider to work, so that does make this interestingly different. It's probably because yttrium has a program separate from just using a simple batch file.

Edit: forgot to mention that to get MDL I just force proton on tf2 and then switch back to no compatibility layer after I am done with MDL.

good sir do you mind posting your hellscape wineprefix

#101 Proper Performance Guide on TF2. [UNFINISHED] in Customization
Bob_Marleyare SSDs actually very helpful for games like tf2? I would think pretty much everything could be loaded into memory when actually playing... So, my gut feeling is that reading stuff from disk isn't that common?

iirc lots of tf2s files are preloaded during startup, so if you want a faster start up then an ssd is very useful

#12 Playing tf2 on linux in TF2 General Discussion
malyI've been playing TF2 exclusively on Linux, although you need to define "good player" in order for me to tell whether I should have a part in this discussion or not.
Everything is smooth, you don't need dxlevel (because you're using OpenGL on Linux), raw input should be turned off (Linux has no delay when it comes to input, but SDL can't handle some fast mouse flicks in newer kernels properly, so raw input screws it up).
Also, no p-rec, but the built-in demo recorder does the job excellent.

does tf2 on linux still work with vpks and mods like yttrium viewmodels?
