FUNKeFor the sake of competitive, there needs to be ways to alleviate this. I like the idea of giving access to all unique weapons for competitive only, and then just having the rest of the game require you to earn/make them. This would help them gather data too, because now you can base your equip/usage rate on the total playercount and not only those who own said items.
Would you be able to have unlocks even when the item server is down with this idea ? Like for example having a server command to allow everyone to equip any unlock, even if they don't have it. If so, then that might be a great way to solve 2 problems at once : Give unlocks to new players for competitive and always having unlocks when playing scrims/officials.

2. Make default settings and default hud good. I feel really bad for new players who have to play with 70 fov and bad interp and don't realize it can be changed.
tf2pickup is dead afaik, pretty much everyone uses pugchamp in EU
SetletGemmellnessSetlet2 freshly laid stickies don't kill a scout anymore, because the demonerf made the stickies do less damage until a certain timespan had past (maybe 2 secs not sure).
stickies that touch the world have full radius (regardless of the radius ramp-up). the only part of the nerf that affects close range stickies is the change to make their radius match rockets which was pretty minor iirc
Wasn't the blast radius nerf the old nerf, which was reverted and then they came up with the damage nerf what I explained about? I remember it being absolutely cancerous to do long range stickies during that time.
No the damage nerf was the old nerf, with abysmal damage on stickies and which got reverted, and the radius is the current one
So are they all going to have different weapons and health, or is it going to be normal Quake and choosing your character is simply choosing your ability ?
