#57 the art thread in Off Topic

This is a great thread.

Here's a quick eye I painted in 15 minutes on my galaxy note.

My attempt at the perfect demo rollout:

Could be a little less sloppy in places I guess.

#38 New Pink Floyd? in Off Topic
DrPloxoKing Crimson likes making music, but Three of a Perfect Pair was fucking awful.
Good musicians don't always make good music bro.

Man, the King Crimson reform is so much more exciting to me than Pink Floyd releasing a "new" album.

#15 Annoucing ETF2L Season 17! in TF2 General Discussion
DavidTheWini49 was the grand finale for a good few of our people at VTV, most of our best casters are either taking a break or have left the scene altogether. Along with that, I personally can't stream any more and Byte played this season so he couldn't cast. We have had reasonable coverage of ETF2L Highlander Season 5 mostly thanks to SuddenlyStarMia's efforts in organising those casts. I don't know what our plans for Season 17 are yet, so stay tuned to find out.

And what a grand finale it was. Apart from the unfortunate lack of source-TV and internet issues(which were out of VTV's control anyway), it was a spectacular coverage effort.

numlockediridescentFUZZThere used to be a time when seeing "numlocked" in the VTF2/TFTV stream sidebar would bring such joy to my heart. Now it only brings pain.
I do stream TF2 still, just on a less frequent basis. It's only ever doublemixes I stream now though.

I caught a few. But the general feeling of melancholy is still there.

#114 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion
mim just waiting for everybody who doesnt play esea because of "malware" to stop using steam (which has an anticheat which uploads suspicious binaries that it finds running on your computer) as well

also lange did torbull ever reply

I don't recall ever being unable to remove Steam from my computer via an uninstall.

"The ESEA Software enabled Defendants to not only monitor end-user
computer activity but also view and upload any and all end-users' computer files."

Whether the part in bold is true, or simply a legalese mis-understanding of the client's working is irrelevant. Until someone gets access to the actual code of the client, there's no way to know whether it does as the court document says, or functions as any other anti-cheat client.

#85 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion

As a completely unbiased observer, I find it amusing how everyone who wants to keep playing ESEA bring up fears about how CEVO will die or provide nothing significant for the NA TF2 community, while simultaneously claiming ESEA will stick around forever or continue to provide decent support for TF2.

MouseIf we're really going to ruin his TF2 career based on what he did in some other game go ahead and ban 90% of us.

Well, we psychiatrists have found that over 8% of the gaming population will always be hackers. I mean, after all, there's something of the hacker in all of us. I mean, how many of us can honestly say that at one time or another he hasn't felt like improving his in-game performance via illicit means? I know I have. I mean, most normal adolescents go through a stage of scripting two or three times a day. Most youngsters on the other hand, some youngsters are attracted to it by its very illegality. It's like murder; make a thing illegal and it acquires a mystique. Look at arson; I mean, how many of us can honestly say that at one time or another he hasn't set fire to some great public building? I know I have. The only way to bring the number of drama threads down is to reduce the number of offenses - get it out in the open - I know I have.

#90 What songs would you like to hear in a frag video? in TF2 General Discussion
IcyWindmustardoverlorduse music you like

don't get music from other people

that's how you end up with generic electronic music in every fuckin video

SHEEPLE

The problem though is that all this community likes is rap or electronic and then people say your music is bad when you use something else

source: people say my music is bad

This. Why don't we have frag videos with Frank effin' Zappa songs on them?

If I ever end up making a frag video I'll probably just pay my cousin to compose something on electric guitar and record drums for it, because I'm too lazy to sync frags with a track.

#36 Weird glitches you've never known before in TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

Man, it sucks that this one set of servers nearby which allowed you to spectate opponents in 3rd person has disabled that feature two weeks ago.

I haven't been able to get it to work outside of spawn even once, which makes me wonder how it worked in that one viaduct video. Also, spectating the cart while meleeing from the grave doesn't seem to work at all, at least for me. What class+weapon were you using?

If I was able to get it to work outside of spawn, I would ideally suicide in a choke as heavy with the holiday punch out.
