Imo tf2online was great (except some admins which you gave the admin were killing pugs when they got picked in a worse team) it was 100x ways better than nowadays pickups with the games being played like ass with not so skilled players sometimes and it's just boring shit to play. Still tf2online lacked of good game history, you can't just look at the games that were played, u gotta look through specific log to see it. Other than that it was good.

And I also think having a captain pick system is way better than having just pickup somehow balanced games. For higher div players it's the best option. Ofc not all of people who are taking the cap are always taking it seriously and they can just throw but it can be controlled with the right admins im pretty sure.

ngl most of the pugs on tf2pickup.eu are low div pugs.
If higher div players join to play it they usually don't give a fuck about the game or they aren't happy with their teammates being so called "balanced" to play with them since tf2pickup.eu uses skill points for each player considering their div. But let me be honest, there were a lot of games being played 5-0 with one team having 2 prem players and 4 other being open/low div players against some team with d2/d1 players. No point of trying if u will get drafted into a losing team most of the time if not always.

myself and several other players have been longing for higher quality pugs in european tf2. With pugchamp and tf2online being dead, the only way to play pugs in europe is to play on tf2pickup, which is usually very unenjoyable due to the big gap in player skill and games being most of the time unbalanced. There has been attempts made with inhouse discord servers, but they usually die very quickly and also have no way for new players to play and improve. I'm wondering if anyone is able or interested in potentially creating a new website for people to play pugs in europe, because as of right now, there is no good way to play and enjoy the game.
