the whole alternating captain/fatkid pug system is dumb because scrambled teams end up imbalanced like 90% of the time.

lower captain requirement
get 24+ players

scrambled teams aren't so bad just don't make it mandatory, it really kills the flow and quality of games. instead have a vote that triggers the fatkid gamemode so you get consistently more captain(better) games.
two people can add up as captain even in the normal/fatkid picking game.
cinq might be able to verify, but I believe the plan was that, channel owners (the HL pug channels, pug.na, tf2scrim, tf2mix) agreed to switch to quakenet, but most decided to go to geeksIRC. only tf2mix and tf2scrim are still on gamesurge, with tf2mix also having a channel on quakenet (this is what the atf2.org client leads you to).
I personally would like all channels to come back to Gamesurge or at least agree on one network completely. the competitive and pug communities are too small to be split up like it currently is.
is there any way to get demos from our match? no stats available either.

not sure if it was made clear or not, but who will be casting this? is Lange going over, again? is TF.TV planning to do their own cast, or will it be VTV still?
good scout, good gamesense, good aim. i had a lot of pre-conceived notions about him and his personality - he does not do himself favors by portraying himself on the forums in certain ways - but my interactions with him have always been decent.
