Colors are really subjective....

The video is overly saturated, but that's just my taste.

I'm actually thinking of drilling some more holes on my Deathadder..

Deathadder Black edition is considerably heavier than the 2013 edition. And fuck warranties.

my browser window is too small to view it without scrolling horizontally. Though only the player count and a few characters get cut.

#6 Settings for Dxtory? in Off Topic

You don't watch lossless files. Well maybe for a quick preview, but recording lossless video means you're going to be using it for some kind of production. If you're not, don't bother with lossless and just encode using x264.

if you really need to view it......
1. faster cpu&/io system. bitrates for lossless codecs are huge.
720P@30fps 95.4Mbps... blu-ray media tops off at 40mbps!

2. get off vlc. Probably packed with outdated decoders, slow renderers, etc.
MPC + klite or whatever your favorite codec pack.

#7 Forcing games to use highest refresh rate? in Hardware
nataponi doubt the additional 2hz makes a diff on the benq. it only adds more stress to the electronics which already receive limited cooling.

if it were another monitor however, i would consider it worthwhile to push that 60hz to 75hz.
but if you are that keen, have u set -freq 122 in your lauch options?

it certainly gets hotter. My acer that I run at 86hz is blazing hot. Nearly a year running like this though.

The Nvidia driver should allow you to configure the resolution and refresh rate, but if you can't get it to work. CRU is an alternative that works for AMD and Nvidia.

#11 Demos are stuttering in Q/A Help

Open net_graph 5 and try to interpret what the graph and numbers tell you?
Perhaps your connection to the server was shitty. Try recording from a listen server and compare.

I think it's because of your network settings.
Perhaps cl_smooth. Have you looked into it?

#36 TF2 on the verge of being unplayable in Q/A Help
redbanMost notably the CPU temp dropped by a lot

You just compared LOAD temperatures to Idle temps.

Use an application like prime95, which will stress out your cpu/ram way past what tf2 can push. This will cause your hardware to get even hotter. You should always have some headroom with thermals...

I suppose you can use speccy to measure temps but I like to use hwmonitor. Or coretemp if you're picky.

http://ark.intel.com/Products/Spec/SLA9X

Tcase 72°C
Case Temperature is the maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS).

Too hot. Fix it.

#9 April 23rd update. in TF2 General Discussion

Curious how well the map download restriction will work with VPK's (steampipe anyone?). Can't I as a server admin make a malicious VPK that includes a map and some furry porn for the hud? (I know l4d2 allows hud modifications via vpk files)
