xattuu has really, really sick medic mechanics, great arrows and awesome surfs
sometimes he gets mad when he dies though.
i pug with dflame all the time and he's perfectly civil
i've also scrimmed against him and he's a monster scout/sniper
don't listen to everyone who has a grudge on him from years ago, try him out and see for yourself!
i used to pug with rhydon and iso a lot and they're both super nice and dedicated to improving!
i've never seen rhydon's demo but he's a smart player and iso has sick jumps
any newer players looking to get their feet wet in open would do well to try out for these guys :>
rex, april, and pey all do huge amounts of work and AG has sick soldier dm + is cute
this team will go big in open next season with a good scout
He's improved so much over the last season. If he keeps up the good work he'll definitely become a high IM medic. Also he's great at finding scrims and has a smooth, beautiful voice. Try him out!
dank is a monster on scout
everyone on this team is rly good they will wreck next season with good soldiers (rip rolling D:)
xan is a fantastic demo and stochastic is the smartest player i know
gonna win im :>
tanner and kirby have amazing, amazing dm on soldier
gl!
hype :3
champagne 2-1
7:55 PM - vhalin: i have several female pocket meds
7:55 PM - vhalin: but none as attractive as you
AlkalineIt would be awesome if you included a VOD of IM on Viaduct b/c honestly that's the biggest meta shift in the past year or so because scout -> sniper and then pocket -> scout is a pretty interesting class composition.
Although most teams banned Via at i52 and I don't think Cyberleague VODs ever got posted, so I'm not sure where you would find a good example. Anyway good article.
no need for names / mad men ran powah sniper and rr scout in s12

god bless you beater
deszaThe pyro plays were pretty meh. Not even comparable to the one in a recent top 10 (reflected rocket jump to gully mid), but nice job otherwise.
idk that was a fucking nasty flare on asheville
indecencythe fact that you can turn a corner and this dirty ass asbestos suit class main can control your movement and then use his superior weaponry with stacks upon stacks of stupid ass fucking stats like reserve shooter and flarepunch you and instantly kill you in the matter of seconds if your one of the 6 or so of the 9 classes is gay
4812622In close range, it's not really significantly better than Scout or Soldier? Degreaser does 139 theoretical DPS, which is basically impossible to hit because the particle cone is wide. Rockets do 140, Scattergun does 164, Shotgun does 144. It's easier to hit your targets with the Flamethrower, but leading a significant portion of the particles is more unreliable than aiming hitscan or shooting the floor. Also, in CQC reflects are heavily based on psychology and luck, instead of being able to react to them by sight.
If you consider Degreaser flaming and switching every 2.02 seconds to the Flare Gun, that's 152 DPS (degreaser switch speed is .23 seconds, so 90 damage in .46 seconds + (the remaining 2.02-.46 seconds times 139 dps), all over 2.02 seconds). You might as well be playing Scout, since it's around 100x more versatile. Also, the Flare Gun wouldn't be as easy to hit with in CQC if airblast preserved momentum.
The only thing stupid about Pyro is that airblast does not conserve momentum and prevents airstrafing.
Pyro isn't better at ambushing than Soldier, Scout, or Spy, unless you run Backburner, which makes you garbage at uberstalling and very limited in reflecting projectiles (which are both more important than ambushing). The class is pretty much ONLY useful in short range and has basically no opportunities to get into range besides hiding around corners.
Reserve Shooter was stupid, but it's banned now.
BrimstoneAlso the the blast should require aim. The fact that a pyro can airblast rockets that wouldn't even have hit them is dumb, the effective box and range as it stands makes no sense.
I wouldn't mind a small hitbox reduction (particularly if the projectile is already behind you), but it's not like reflects are easy. Sight reflecting requires you to aim the projectiles back at them, which takes just as much skill as the person who shot them. Point-blank reflection requires prediction as to when they'll fire (and if they're not rockets it does take aim to hit them back).
syath is damn good at soldier and has great comms
