^ or you could just use a hud crosshair that's a dot and put the zpos to like -10 and color it green, that would increase the darkness of that area of the crosshair. would work in all sv_pure.

ive tried setting the xHair to none,default,etc. but its still there and i just want the HUD xHair..

Its weird playing with 2 xHairs at the same time :P
set the size of the in-game crosshair to 0 (either in the in-game dialog or by typing cl_crosshair_scale 0 in console)
my zowie fk is pretty much the best thing ever I've never had any problems with it. furthermore, you're supporting a great company and the TF2 scene.

In my ideal world they wouldn't allow ties in the group stage but I can obviously see why that's highly improbable for fatigue reasons. In my opinion a head to head defeat SHOULD have eliminated Ghana. They lost to us and tied Germany. They shouldn't get to make the next round over a team they lost to just because our tie was 2-2 while theirs was 3-3, that seems dumb to me. I hope we can both agree that head to head should at the very least matter more than total goals.
Obviously just my opinion, I can see why goal differential makes more practical sense in terms of ensuring that games actually matter; however, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth because imo it doesn't really prove the better team. Head to head just feels like a definitive answer: team A is better because they won against team B.
Valve please wait until after i52 to fuck with stock weapons again.

I understand how it works: my point is just that if it were like this:
1. points
2. head to head
3. goal differential
4. goals total
instead of
1. points
2. goal differential
3. goals total
4. head to head
Then we (USA) would be hard-pressed to not make it: we have 4 points, Germany 4, Ghana 1, Portugal 1. Assuming USA loses to Germany (can't see this not happening), this is what could happen if it worked like I outlined above. (If Ghana v. Portugal is a tie, obviously neither advances). If Ghana won and head to head mattered more than goal differential USA would advance. Since we tied portugal, either of the two situations above ends up being decided by goal differential so it's irrelevant for my example.
As it currently works, we, USA, could very likely be tied for points with Ghana and lose out goal differential even though we beat them in a head to head which seems to me a little weird.

This is a good point, but, by the same token, goal differential also means that teams can throw games to ensure certain opponents advance, West Germany and Austria actually famously did this in 1982 to eliminate Algeria.

I guess, but there's also the fact that there are different styles of football: right now goals total matters more than head to head too. If, for example, there were a team that played all out football and had very high scoring games, they'd have a significant advantage over a team they tied if they both had the same goal differential.
The current system just devalues head to head to literally nothing more than a coin flip when in other sports head to head is decisive: my high school baseball team wouldn't have made playoffs if run differential were a thing instead of head to head.

wp portugal. anyone know why goal differential matters more than head-to-head? seems ridiculous to me, although maybe just because if it were the other way around we'd be basically ensured a knockout round spot..
so for me this newest update made it so that typing hud_reloadscheme in console crashes my game. however, when i press the key that i have bound to hud_reloadscheme it works perfectly fine. also, my game doesn't crash when i remove the hud folder, i haven't been able to further isolate the issue however. just a heads up for anyone else who this issue affects.
i've never used paint, looks like you need to have the background of your image be an alpha layer (transparent) instead of white. try downloading gimp, it's a free photoshop alternative, like i detailed in the guide, and very useful, i can personally vouch for it.
type your crosshair in paint, save it as a .tga file. then open up vtfedit and click on import. use these settings: http://pastebin.com/KkzRvru8. Then save the file and name it Crosshair.vtf. Then create a text document and fill it with the following:

}
Then save the text doc as Crosshair.vmt, put both files in custom/ ** any_name** /materials/vgui/replay/thumbnails, and you're set to use it as an in-game crosshair or a hud crosshair.
