Fubarplayed the map the other day, it was a blast
yylerHaven't heard of anyone from tf.tv playing this. No interest or no motivation or what?
?
Was also played in the new map pugs, not sure why there's no feedback from that.

From running around on it alone and practicing jumps and stuff I thought it was really cool and different from anything I have played before, please don't lose interest as this could become one of my personal favorite maps.
nova_elipse
is there a way to change the color of the text it says it in?

Yeah I like the idea of a deathpit in highlander, seems to fit the gametype for me. Steel is my favorite highlander map (rip?), and part of the reason it's amazing to play and spectate is the humor and gameplay around the pit.
I played tf2 on a mac for a long time and got this a ton, went away when I switched to pc (thank god). I always thought it was due to the built in mouse accell that macs come with, it got kinda buggy sometimes even with the trackpad, I never thought it was a config problem, that's interesting. I never used a crouch jump but I have an uber call and some weapon switching ones, can't see how that would effect it though....
this sometimes happens to me, recording a demo and then stopping fixes it for me same as invisible player bug
Rounding a corner badlands house could happen, but it's essentially like equalizer taunting if that's the case so I'm not sure how I feel about the charge thing. Also it still does minicrit so one shotting medics aside, it still encourages stupid roamer hiding spot ambushes, even a 120 or 130 can one shot a scout on flank, and he can just charge them all day.
For me, the infinite ammo is the stupid part. That means spamming constantly on flank without ever having to leave, as well as being able to charge shot, and having no real downside (for roamers). I'm fine with it being banned.
BenroadsI'm sure you could make a font xhair using this just like an achievement one but as with achievement crosshairs they cannot be animated. For most people that's not a big deal though so you can potentially have all sorts of custom image/font xhairs going on now without stuttering on switching them.
In the ozfortress thread there was someone having some difficulty using this with a font xhair and povohat said he hadn't tried it as the element is originally an image and not a text so he didn't think it was possible. Hope it is though, that would be amazing.
So I hope this hasn't already been posted, sorry if so, I looked but couldn't find one. Povohat (the based god of tf2 customization) found a new way to toggle an image crosshair (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/9842-rainbow-konr-wings-for-everyoneimage-to-crosshair) off or on without minmode toggling which freezes your game. Copied over from ozfortress.
With the recent patch, you can use part of the new 3d player model hud shit to toggle a hud image on and off without any of the game stutter that cl_hud_minmode causes. It's called classmodelpanelBG and located in HudPlayerClass.res.
Heres some example code
Code:
"classmodelpanelBG"
{
"ControlName" "CTFImagePanel"
"fieldName" "classmodelpanelBG"
"xpos" "c-32"
"ypos" "c-32"
"zpos" "3"
"wide" "64"
"tall" "64"
"enabled" "1"
"image" "replay/thumbnails/ql_3"
"scaleImage" "1"
}
Toggle cl_hud_playerclass_use_playermodel to enable/disable the image. Feel free to also push "classmodelpanel" off the screen with high xpos/ypos values if you dont enjoy that particular feature.
EDIT: it's important to note that you MUST keep visible set to 0 and enabled set to 1, otherwise you won't be able to toggle your image crosshair on or off at will.
Niko_JimsSide swipe.
I do this on sniper sometimes actually, didn't even really notice til I saw this post. Interesting.... Don't think it's from console shooters though.
I kinda track then flick if I need to hit a quick shot, on projectile classes I also sometimes just flick. I usually strafe aim whenever I don't need an amazing dodge for hit-scan, I see no reason not to when all you need is to be sure to hit your shot since it's more reliable for me personally. Trying to improve my tracking because it's really cool feeling when you track well and it improves my scout and sniper so much.
AndKennethGreat idea except anyone on your friends list can get the IP address. Not how this can be stopped. You can't really unfriend everyone because you have a match.
Pretty sure if you go offline on steam you loose loadout.
Wrong. If they go offline before joining the server like Lazy said no one would be able to get the IP. You don't lose loadout from being offline on steam, I play that way all the time so I don't get bothered by trading idiots.
mmixup is harb on med tyler roam clock/squid/yuki on scout rest same
aflas team is alfa demo bdonk decimate scout mayla roam hero pocket smaka med
Since TLR was scrimming roamer with them when yuki streamed last night/two nights ago (I forget) I assume that's who you mean, and not blaze?
If you do mean TLR does that mean blaze isn't playing this season? Also what happened to enigma wtf
delete sourcescheme.res i believe is the fix
