Okay fine.

I’m not gonna fully elaborate on some of stuff brought up in this thread since Im not the main person involved in pretty much anything that did go south and I don’t want to contribute to more misinformation. But I can tell you that samiface cancelled the LAN using tsc dropping out as the main excuse when it was really her finding out that Console was going public with his story on dashnerr and exposing that samiface wanted Console to drop out of the LAN staff to protect dashnerr instead of outing an abuser. This was explained a little bit in Console original thread he has since taken down for “legal” reasons (per his word).

Alfa’s thread was just calling out poor decision making on tsc and sami’s front which is why Alfa is somehow pinned with being the “nail in the coffin” in the LAN. Nah, it was sami doing terrible things.

Also reminder that she cancelled the LAN after not consulting anybody on the staff and dropped the announcement with a few @heres in the discord channel and on page 6 of alfa’s thread. Unprofessional and abysmally handled.

This is a really oddly put together article with a lot of information missing and incorrect. I was there from the near-beginning once staff started getting brought on and in just a short article there's quite a bit.... wrong.

Thankfully more people (alfa, mal, Tino, eXtine) actually involved in the event are giving better information on what did happen, but if this thread starts getting long enough who's gonna read it all to find out 'the real truth?'

Fun fact: dashnerr didn't initially want me on staff lol

UPDATE - 11/9/19 7:00 PM EST: Remaining BtSTF2 staff members are attempting to salvage the event and are engaging with BeyondTheSummit with this in mind. No promises can or should be made at this point regarding the future of the event, but attempts are being made to track which players and teams could still attend.
