VortexFFGBaldur's Gate 2STALKER is a fun post apocalyptic shooter. Think of like Fallout 3 but less Bethesda.

Holy shit STALKER I fucking love stalker. OP if you have never played stalker you should definately play it. I've beaten each one at least twice (the first one approximately 6 times), and it is my favorite game ever. You HAVE to play it.

Bumping cause I love to play TF2
kirbylynaAlso, don't forget the skilled movement. You can bunnyhop and do all kinds of crazy shit, even more than in cs:s
You definitely can't bhop in CoD4. The most you can do with movement that's out of the ordinary is hitting a bounce. It's similar to bhopping only in the sense that it exploits a bug in the engine. To bounce, you need either 125, 250 or 333 FPS. With 125 FPS, you can only hit the short distance bounces. 250 for short (depending on which ones, some of them you end up going too far at the area you need to jump from) and medium. 333 FPS for the ridiculous bounces. 333 FPS is/was actually banned from being used in CoD4's competitive scene because the major advantage you get in jump distance. That includes jumping in general and bounces.
It's kind of crazy that they would ban using a certain amount of FPS but it makes sense I guess.
Sorry my bad then, I just remember watching videos of people doing strafe jumps and being able to bounce.

Better weapon balance, better maps (balance, structure, variety), guns have recoil, the game wasn't made to be super easy or to make the game easier for newer players, there's an actual skill curve, the melee system actually works, there's not really anything overpowered, simplicity with kill streaks (3 instead of like 16), and the game was more focused on who can aim better and position themselves better, not who can out gay each other with equipment or who can get the most kills with a kill streak that's overpowered.
This is mostly about CoD4/5 as some of these things don't apply to older games such as CoD2, like kill streaks and perks.

I liked cod up to 4, after that each one is basically the same thing over and over again. As a competitive game I'm not sure what to think about it, I understand that it takes skill to get to the level of some of the pros, but there are a few problems.
1. Controller: doesn't allow twitch shots, which is sort of stupid considering its a competitive fps
2. Shitty community: I love the tf2 community, it is one of the nicest competitve game communities I know. This was one of the main appeals to tf2 for me.
3. aim assist: It doesn't give you too much of an advantage, but it's still there. Sometimes you would miss a shot, but with aim assist you wouldn't.
4. Have to buy new game every time its released: honestly this is the biggest factor for me. TF2 and CS are good comp games because you might have to buy a new version every 6-7 years, and people would still play the older game competitively. With COD I'm not willing to put down 60 bucks every time it comes out.
Honestly, I agree with most of the things waffleb said, but I do agree that aim assist should be banned from league play. I went over to a friends house yesterday and played some Black Ops 2 on his xbox, and i had a 1:2 ratio. This might not be too impressive, but I rarely touch a controller, maybe once every two months. But, I would never join the competitive cod scene because of how many assholes there are. I only played for maybe a few hours total but I heard so much shit talking by little kids I was amazed. I thought that all the rumors about cod having a fan base of 12 year olds was false, but apparently its 100% true.
I'd be willing to try out as medic
The whole "The Rift War Cycle" by Raymond E. Feist. I found this seiries one day when randomly browsing the library. I got hooked instantly and it is now my favorite series by far. It doesn't have the best writing but it's universe is just so real and exciting that it completely entrances you into the books. 10/10 would recommend
Admiralledownpouroh jesus christ it was so loud i died

It is possible to change db levels of the song in sony vegas, you should do that next time
The best part about this joke was not the joke itself, but that people actually thought it was real.
