serious take- i only see map bans working if ur doing bo2/bo3s where both teams get to choose a map they play

banning in bo1s into a coinflip is just gonna leave a lot of people sour about not getting their pick regardless of having the 2 days to practice the map + now u have the joy of finding somebody else whos playing the map and will take the scrim seriously while also being around ur teams skill level

a lot of the players listed are just people self slurping over being able to remember old invite players who were generally liked while not known for their gameplay

theres also a lot of people list who were rly insane mechanically but who weren't disciplined enough/refused/couldn't adapt to consistently play effectively vs 1/2nd place teams which kinda is the crux of being defined as a good player in my book (weeble/youmustmike/slardel/basically all of the people on mustards list who down fall under the former category)

#84 what u describe sounds nice but i cannot fathom any competitive game in the year of our lord 2018 being any more welcoming than comp tf2 nor do i see any kind of connection where 'if we were nicer we'd have more players'

tf2 is a weird redheaded stepchild of a game and the people it caters to are becoming less and less common, the vast majority of people who decided that tf2 was 'too toxic of a community' for them likely wont be able to stomach any other even semi-competitive community and probably just shouldnt play ~esports~
