#5 Knowing between Flank/Roamer and Pocket In Demos in TF2 General Discussion
_KermitI mean for soldier one will do the equaliser rollout, that's a pretty good bet that he's the pocket.

For scout it's harder but generally you can look at logs of a team and see which scout gets more heals on average.
fygIn most cases it’s easier to know combo / flank just off of knowing the team and the roles the players play, but generally if one soldier plays closer to the combo then it is likely the pocket soldier. Same goes with scout, as the pocket scout will take most Ubers and direct the team in most cases.

Should've thought about these, really ;_;, ty for the advice!!

capnnofapnInstead of being concerned about the distinctions between roamers and pockets, focus on how the soldiers play as as a duo. Are they holding different doorways, or are they playing together while the demo watches another doorway? Do both soldiers bomb in at the same time at mid, or does one of them seem to follow the other and their damage? You're totally correct that the difference between pockets and roamers gets pretty blurry, but thats also because they are often working together.

Also a good thing to note too; i'll be looking at it more going forward o7

super appreciated!!

#1 Knowing between Flank/Roamer and Pocket In Demos in TF2 General Discussion

I should clarify, i'm currently a Flank Scout

I'm relatively new to competitive TF2, and have learned a lot from reviewing demos of higher level players; One thing i've been struggling with, at least when trying to find things such as Advanced teams to watch over (due to how different invite can tend to be) is how to spot which players to review in my role. Being newer to the scene and not knowing players and their roles, as well as being a bit of a newbie and not easily being able to tell the difference between the two at a higher level, I wanted to know if, when reviewing demos, there's an easy way to notice or tell who's who, outside of just who's with beam the most, or, what players are well known for being flankscouts in general over the last few years

It might seem like a silly question, but any advice helps ;_;, it's harder trying to tell the difference at higher levels especially to study considering the roles get less defined as divs go up so anything is helpful; bomo is really the only person ive closely been able to watch and learn from recently as I know he's a flank

ty!!

#13 struggling with consistency in aim in TF2 General Discussion
MiG-21bisgiannihow would you guys recommend cleaning a mousepad and mouse? For a mousepad deep clean every month just take it to your shower, soak it, and lather dish soap with your hand or washcloth. From my understanding dish soap is better for getting the oils and flakes of skin out and does not leave behind a residue like a shampoo would do. Be sure to rinse it well so no soap is left. For a quick clean spray disinfectant spray on it and go over the pad with a microfiber cloth.

Less soap is better! try not to use very much, using too much soap will make it harder to get out and will make it sink into the base of the pad and disconnect it from it's base if there's too much. be gentle, and try not to use a washcloth. dish soap is a go-to and slowly it after getting everything in it with a microfiber cloth. The goal is to be gentle, as being rough can scruff the surface of certain pads
