im glad the dirty mormon didnt win
kirby500 fps in tf2, much worse in any other game? not sure what other games you could be playing.
tf2 doesnt need a good video card at all
other games generally do especially when eye candy is turned up
I had an Asus mATX motherboard that could pull my i7 870 to 3.6, with HT off I could do 4.0 on it. I'm sure with a nice aftermarket cooler, you can push your i5 750 to the 3.8-4.0 range. Intel left AMD in the dust in single threaded performance with the i5/i7 series. Just get a nice video card too and you're good to go.
its their focus on the i46 documentary
domoo god why i wanted the processor, marisa has a super computer anyway ;_;
Actually I only have a 1st gen i7 870 @ 4.0GHz, getting a bit outdated with Sandy and Ivy out.
Reason I got it was because harbleu was using an i7 920 c0 and needs 1.425v to get to a mere 3.8GHz. miyari's 920 is the much better d0 revision which can probably do 4.2GHz on the same amount of voltage or even less. 1.425 isn't really safe imo for 45nm i7 anyways. So I'm giving it to harbleu, then harbleu is giving me his c0, then im going to sell it on overclock.net.
The bluescreens in Windows 8 are much nicer than those in Windows 7 and hardly look threatening at all. As for why I bluescreened, I was testing overclocks on a new motherboard.
mine here all have enterprise on them but the sticker is for home premium
Fzeroand FYI
"Please note: we can only validate your registration when you submit a qualifying Windows 7 product key."
So, not sure if it will work with all people
try copying a key off the windows 7 COA sticker on your school computers maybe
If you're using Windows 7, you shouldn't be in a rush to get Windows 8. If you're building a new computer however, you might as well buy Windows 8 instead since it is slightly better.
I've been using Windows 8 RTM for about a month.
Metro UI is nice once you understand how it works; you can type things right in the Start menu and they will instantly pop up. The new OS gained slightly more 3DMarks in 3DMark11 on my AMD A8-4500M system compared to Windows 7. The boot times are incredibly fast for a 5400 RPM hard drive, the OS also shuts down pretty quickly. Takes less RAM compared to Windows 7. You can regedit to bring back the old start menu if you are bad with computers.
Also check if your college or university has a Dreamspark Premium account at www.dreamspark.com and you can get two copies of Windows 8 64-bit for free along with other operating systems (XP, Vista, 7).

Windows 8 Pro 32-bit keys also work on 64-bit Pro versions, same with older Windows versions.
