The items may have some sentimental value, but it's really his decision on whether he wants to just sell the stuff and get some cash to quickly get the PSU, or just wait it out for people to throw cash at him. I'm not siding with the people complaining in this thread, but simply stating that I understand where they are coming from.
its a gift, a donation, they can do whatever they want with it
im not saying powah has to sell his shit, but its totally within his right and would have been a pretty viable option if he needed a quick 100
one big difference, ruwin got the unusual via twitch stream and he never begged for a unusual on tf.tv forum.
More players are taking tf2 community for granted and after the i55 lan fund raiser we will see trend of more players begging for money for anything.
tf2 communities generousity has limits and it wont go so well for the next lan funds

As far as im aware tf2center didnt spend much/or any at all? on advertising after it got solid playerbase instead relied on word of mouth advertising from tf2 community.
if/when a replacement site is online we can do the same aswell. i believe tf2 comp. community got integrity so as long as word of mouth is continuing and the players here who are commited to play it will eventually grow. Alternative host a cup with prizes and post it on here and on etf2l to get exposure
genericPoopingI think the biggest difficulty is that TF2C is basically ubiquitous, and the vast majority of users aren't directly affected by admin abuse.
I doubt most people will care about the DeutchLAN drama enough to stop using a site that works, and is popular.

tf2center caught on because it came at a time when tf2lobby was completely broken and down 95% of the time
the majority of the users don't even know about the drama or don't care as long as it doesn't affect them, even if you end up with a carbon copy of tf2center without shit admins, how do you convince people to switch to a website with an almost nonexistent playerbase?
you need at least better features or a better UX, and on the technical side tf2c is really solid

also for the matter i havent used google for past 1 month since im on vacation. only site i visit are etf2l, this site, anime sites and twitch and if i would visit porn site i would go to a legit site instead of searching on google at the risk of visiting site with malicious virus.
