setting up an identical league to esea with cevo wouldn't be even kind of difficult (lan excluded). would just take a few community leaders discussing shit over with pipher, and i'm sure we could get a lot of the shit we wanted esea to do (improved stats, leniency in decision making/rules, etc). we could also do away with ugc 6's since cevo is free and thats the big thing dividing the 6's community and that'd make our 6's numbers a lot more impressive

AH i remember now i think. pretty sure there was blatant cheaters that took a while to get banned and an admin was on the roster and defending them or something. this was like ~7 years ago so im really foggy on the memory, could be totally wrong/misremembering.

not saying cevo is bad or we shouldnt consider moving, it was more a "lets really think this out and make sure its the best move to go to X league" type deal. you should contact some of the invite captains and talk with them and see what you can work out for an invite league in cevo, see if it can persuade the top talent to make the move.

just popping in to remind people that CEVO is a classic "grass is greener" scenario. back in my cs days there were corrupt admins that banned people for cheating when they weren't or some shit like that. i think it was cevo|pipher involved in the whole thing, not sure though.

not defending esea, they take advantage of every community they're involved with, just warning folks that are ready to jump ship that other leagues are just as bad/worse, so finding a good league BEFORE the move will be crucial. talking to top admins/ceo of the company will be important to make sure we work out a good deal for our players.

dota2 has games that are fast paced as well, just depends on both teams hero picks, and the current state of the meta. last i saw it was in a necro book/push strat stage, which is pretty fast paced and has a lot of action going on. 4 protect 1 is pretty dead

dota has the same thing, you just dont have a visual because they don't want people to be discouraged (haha pussies) when they aren't ranking up or are low ranked

dota2 heroes are all pretty different too...

i dont really care about any of this at all but just wanted to pop in and let you guys know that every person i've ever heard of using an actual privately coded cheat had to be manually banned.

i've played in esea matches in cs:s against people blatantly aimbotting/wallhacking and it took 3/4 of the season for them to "update the client" (read: manually ban after the community was in an uproar over how blatant that shit was) and ban the fuckers.

the client is there to keep the already discovered hacks out, stop people from using textures and shit like that, and deter people from cheating because "ooooh anti cheat client!"

i hoped and prayed a top invite team would pick him up and use it JUST to do ridiculous bhop pushes and get trades/early access to sites...never happened :(
