#36 anyone play LoL? in Off Topic

along with riot making balance changes every three seconds and making stupid ones at that, added to the fact that you need to grind harder than a whore in a vegas strip club to get anywhere near a competitive level and pay riot tons of money to keep up with the current metagame, this is why i will never play their game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=AiZZR9jiUbs

scummy company trying to kill the competition and make it as if dota never existed in the first place

#3 Steam games are suddenly uninstalled in Off Topic

see if the files are in the drive's steamapps folder, maybe steam just messed up directories.

on a somewhat related note, my computer crashed yesterday and when steam restarted it erased all my launch options for everything (but not my configs). it's never done that before.

#1 A new format for reddit posts. in TF2 General Discussion

Hi guys, I'm that guy who does the reddit posts for TF.tv events. I've been wanting to try a new format and I want to get some feedback on what you guys think.

After talking to lamefx, we've been wanting to cut down on the number of posts we make to help keep things more clean. Instead of an "x hours from this post" submission, I want to try a "Matches for Wednesday the 31st" (fill in any date), similar to what Sheever on the dota 2 subreddit does (ex: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1h3j7u/matches_on_wednesday_the_26th_of_june/). The post will contain all of today's matches, and if there aren't any matches but still interesting events, we'll make special posts for that.

Here's a list of competitive TF2 matches going on for this day! All times are in EST and all matches are casted by TeamFortress.TV.

3:00PM
Broder and Epsilon battle for the Premiere title in ETF2L's 6v6 tournament. (link to event here)

11:30PM
Mad Men and Classic Mixup fight for a spot at ESEA's S14 LAN. (link)

Do you guys think this is a better way of doing the posts? If not what can I change?

Thanks for your feedback in advance.

#18 Windows 7 BSODing after loading screen in Hardware
jp_I'm assuming you connected the hard disks/SSD onto the intel controller)

wait, you mean the motherboard itself and not like a SATA card or something? because if so yeah it's directly connected to the MB.

jp_AHCI drivers usually wont get installed with the motherboard driver package. You'll need to find the actual .inf file for the AHCI driver and manually install the AHCI drivers for the SATA controller via Device Manager.

Also http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/61869-ahci-enable-windows-7-vista.html may be another way but I usually just install the manufacture's driver manually.

where would the file be on the driver disc (if there)? like what would the name be? and if it's not on there where do i get it?

#14 Windows 7 BSODing after loading screen in Hardware

okay i got the new drivers and everything installed, but when i switch it to sata mode, the windows 7 loading screen stops midway and it still bluescreens. should I still reinstall?

but the fact that i can get it working in ide mode is great because i can make easy backups of stuff.

jp_Do you have AHCI enabled in the bios without having the SATA controllers installed.

Go disable AHCI/set the SATA controller back to IDE mode..

I'll give this a try when I wake up in a few hours, thanks

NobleYou need the Windows CD to repair it. Load the CD and select language then hit next. The I think it says "install now" (dont click) and there is something on the lower left that says "repair your computer" and click that. Do a startup repair.

it still says it can't be repaired

NobleAfter installing a new MB reinstall windows, and if not that do a windows repair.

I tried to repair it from the disk itself and it said it couldn't, should I try using my Windows 7 CD?
