waefwaefwikipedia There is now broad scientific and regulatory consensus that food on the market derived from GM crops is safe enough to eat.[44][45][46][47] The European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation 2010 report on GMOs noted that "The main conclusion to be drawn from the efforts of more than 130 research projects, covering a period of more than 25 years of research, and involving more than 500 independent research groups, is that biotechnology, and in particular GMOs, are not per se more risky than e.g. conventional plant breeding technologies."[48] A 2008 review published by the Royal Society of Medicine noted that GM foods have been eaten by millions of people worldwide for over 15 years, with no reports of ill effects.[49] Similarly a 2004 report from the US National Academies of Sciences stated: "To date, no adverse health effects attributed to genetic engineering have been documented in the human population."[50]

Those studies were flawed. The research was on rats for up to 90 days. New research is out and rats with GMO diets grow tumors and die after 580 or so days.

#10 night school/ online courses? in Off Topic

Like most things in life, school is where you get what you put into it. You dont need school to learn, its just a structured place to go to focus on learning, but you still have to do as much and as difficult works as you can to improve yourself.

I've been to an online school- if you are self disciplined you will do well, if you tend to slack when there is less supervision then you may want to go to a night school or regular college.

It can be very difficult to work full time and do night classes/online college. You may have to sacrifice some sleep in order to get your assignments done to the level of quality that you want.

Rick
that's great that your appreciative of what you have, and trust me once you have a nice car you'll start caring about money and if your like me, slowly dump all of it into your ride, this is a good thing tho as cars are a great hobby

He's saying that cars are a money pit.... how is that a good idea? I lived in the bay area for a bit, didnt need a car to enjoy it, but that was Berkeley/SF. I guess if you are up in the hills i can see needing a car.

#29 not motivated in life in Off Topic

I'd say what you are going through is pretty normal. I had no idea what i wanted to do with my life when i was 19. I am 27 and i've done a lot of different things already, some i liked, some things sucked.

The most important thing is to just pick something and do it.

You may not pick the best thing for yourself right away, hell, you may never really find the best thing ever, but the key is always improving, and moving forward.
