dfyI've been using cheap dell keyboards
I use a Dell keyboard and I have to say I don't have any problems with it at all. I found it in my parent's garage.
Koobadoobstf2lobby.com is good for getting a feel for your role in 6v6. The skill level is lower than pugs. TBH though, you should start pugging sooner rather than later because lobbies are ultimately just organized pubbing with no team communication. After 10-20 lobbies you're probably ready enough.
I actually would not recommend TF2lobby. You'll just get bad habits. Good for messing around maybe, but don't expect to learn ANYTHING as scout playing TF2lobby (except for maybe how to bait your team and get baited by your team in a back and forth bait-war that culminates in everyone being out of position and dead).
Keep playing newbie mixes, and maybe try out #tf2mix on IRC, they run pugs regularly with players new to comp.
Try to airstrafe all the time. You can strafe onto and off of map geometry, strafe into landing shots, strafe toward someone who your team calls to focus, etc. Playing medic helps enormously for scout. Scout is basically like super-medic, because you have that extra jump and speed to surf and dodge everything. People say that scouts move "randomly," but a good scout's movement is about as "random" as a good medic's movement--that is, not at all.
And, like anything else, practice. You aren't going to find tips that will make you relaxed, confident, and consistent in fights.
Also the quote in #14 is spot-on about being an evade tank. You can contribute a LOT to a fight without doing any damage at all just by baiting spam from the opponent.
that feel when light pollution and smog and no nature :(
Why don't we just find out who this group or person is (it sounds like some people here already have facebook information) and then phone their parents?
If my parents found out I was DDOSing and being disruptive online I'm sure I'd be restricted from using a computer for a good long while, especially at age 14 or 15.
BLoodSireAm I the only one waiting for the "Strange Part: Invulnerables Prevented" i.e. medic's killed with uber?
Isn't this like, one of the most important stat's in all of TF2?
I'd like to see an "ubercharges dropped" counter for the strange medigun.
Antwan hits his shots, and never rages.
He's really good at pyro.
A+ good pickup!
I don't understand why people hate sniper in DM.
If you hit your shots when you should be hitting your shots, why does it matter if you die? Isn't DM about hitting your shots?
Getting 2 shot by a scout that spawned behind you is dumb too, but only if you actually care about dying or k/d in DM. Which you shouldn't, imo.
I'm fucking dying
kuzaI was lucky enough to throw and DJ some massive warehouse parties with the likes of Plastikman, simply jeff, the Hardkiss brothers, carl cox, john digweed, etc..
I am really impressed, damn. Impressed and jealous.
"x class is so fuckin easy"
Radium is always reasonable, cool-headed, and nice, even in very tough situations. He also always keeps long term improvement for his teammates and himself in mind.
He's retty much a role-model teammate, and he's gotten much better at rocketshooting and calling since I played with him at the beginning of last season on Wu-tang.
A++++ pickup, would recommend.
God-tier taste in hip hop.
I used to be friends with crespi a really long time ago (when I aliased as "comanche") in pubs.
He would literally try to micro his team in pubs, and constantly got mad over the mic, telling specific players to switch classes and do certain things. When things weren't going well, instead of switching away from medic, he'd just continue to get mad and complain over the mic.
I told him to take it easy, and he removed me.
It doesn't surprise me that he's committed to improving now, but anyone who is looking to pick him up should probably have the same idea of what they want out of a team that crespi does.
