definitely on a couple of areas in metalworks, also noticed on snakewater saw entrance to mid and in saw itself. happens a bit on gully last and in process spawn, haven't played other maps to notice
players become really dark in shadowed areas for me, any ideas on what it might be?
using the latest release on low preset, didn't happen before that
Hi, sorry to bump this thread, but I seem to have solved the problem on my end.
I decided to install mastercomfig for more fps, and followed his installation instructions which included cleaning out any custom cfgs and mods. I then installed his maxperformance cfg and the addons for badcpu, badgpu and ssd. The game launched in fullscreen mode, and to my surprise I had no more mouse delay with no strange fps cap, and the game felt much smoother as well.
I think it may have been the clean up part of the installation which solved the problem, but if not, try a preset or a combination of the addons.
I think I may have the same problem as you, but with my fps capping on 60fps. It initially appears normal, then within 4ish seconds just locks and I get the delays. I've found that playing in windowed mode doesn't cap the fps (play around with different resolutions as well). It's a temporary fix until I find a solution.
I've tried the above two solutions to the problem, but they don't work. I really appreciate the input.
The game still caps at 60fps on fullscreen unless I change my monitor brightness, to which my game will surpass 60fps and my mouse will not feel delayed for approximately 4 seconds, before reverting back to the 60fps cap (observed from net_graph 1).
I'm on windows 10, I've tried reinstalling drivers, didn't work. I tried m_limitedcapture_workaround 1, just made things worse. I turned on net_graph and noticed that my fps caps at 60 in fullscreen mode when fps_max 121 (it's fine in windowed). Vsync is disabled, but I think the problem should lie there?
Sorry to bump this, but this is still a problem i have in fullscreen. I am fine playing in windowed, but would definitely prefer fullscreen if possible. Additional info: I use comanglia's max frames + dx8, and have tried going to different dxlevels, reinstalling the game, and verifying chache. I would describe the mouse movement as delayed and sluggish.
