even if you aren't religious, you can use that time to meditate
i don't identify as catholic anymore but i still go to a mass or two every couple months just to meditate.
as for the rest of what you said, welcome to being a teenager. take solace in the fact that basically every teen on earth goes through the same stuff, especially after relocating.
Korean immigrants go to church with a bunch of other koreans cause it has a community aspect, job opportunities, community, going to other parts of the world and doing dangerous missionary, but adventurous work. Free meals prepared if you don't have anything or sick. most korean's are atheist, infact I think half of the korean population is atheist, but once they come to america, more than half of the korean american population is christian, including catholic denomination. Even though there's homophobia and the church pushing creationism, I still go to church to go do camping, canoeing, or do fun stuff with other korean peeps. I just sit and play the game and take what I can from it.
