ComangliaheksHi tftv, I'm building a super cheap PC and I'm trying to get it under $150(yes I know it's not going to be amazing or anything and I don't care about running new games, only tf2 and csgo.) and I'm buying parts one at a time since I'm a teenager and don't have a lot of money to spend, I was wondering if I would be able to play matches/scrim with 2 gigs of ddr2 ram for a week or two without wanting to kms. The CPU is an AMD Phenom 2 X4 945 @3.4ghz.
pretty similar to the 1st PC I started playing HL with. A Phenom 2 X4 940 black edition overclocked to @3.6GHz
Yes, tf2 will run on that. If you play HL expect 45-70fps on midfights, if 6s 70-90fps on midfights with a FPS config, and no hats mod, running Dx8. Also pls don't spend more than like $60 on this the phenom 2 X4 945 is a roughly 9 year old cpu, and DDR2 hasn't been used in even mid-range PCs since about 2008/09 (just to clarify don't spend more than $60 on an entire PC that contains those parts)

just save up money and wait longer, youre probably looking at 30 fps tops with a dx8 config, maybe 60 on mge
