I would be interested in knowing how many people would prefer slightly different geometry from the original bball, because that would help me to make this map a little more unique.

Bolshevikis this very difficult to do? i think a nice introduction to map making would be doing these b-ball reskins as I have a few ideas in mind.
ctf_ballin_sky is a very simple map to begin with, and so doing a detailing pass is not much work at all. There's a great number of tutorials out there for learning how to map, including some youtube videos if you're not into reading much.
Introducing ctf_jungleball, a map for 1v1 and 2v2 soldier matches. Almost a direct reskin of ctf_ballin_sky, this map features a jungle environment just like pl_borneo!
Thanks to Sean for his jungle assets and Dr. Spud for the ivy models.
Currently there are only a few screenshots to give an idea of what's going on but as soon as it is fully detailed there will be a download up.

I've actually just started work on a bball court to give me a break from my most recent terrible 5cp. At the moment the only real difference is that the scenery outside has changed, but I am wondering if people would like to see changes to the geometry inside the court as well.
Additionally, in the current ctf_ballin_sky you can walk along the tops of the fences, is this something you'd like to see remain in future bball maps or would they be better without it?
EDIT: ctf_jungleball
Code it yourself, then ship it as part of a community update and hope Valve buys it.
The ratings aren't very useful because everyone has a different idea of which number of stars/whatever they use these days means. On the other hand, the comments are extremely valuable, you can quite easily get a feeling for if a teacher is any good or not based off 2 or 3 pages of comments.

It's destined to be a good map, the fan strat is included.
I went to mine. It was a waste of time and I'd rather have been at home playing video games. I'm still dating the girl I went with, 2 years later, but prom was boring and just not fun. Go with your gut and don't go.
Fully Charged 28 or 29 with ScorpioUprising and Phi.
There's been a lot of talk about maps over the last month or so, but the general consensus is that any new maps in development simply "aren't ready" for serious competitive play. Are there any plans to perhaps scrim these maps, so that their makers have feedback to work with, to improve them? (Although obviously there needs to be a team to scrim against...)
And more importantly, what effect did cutting his hair have on b4nny's performance this season?
Update your first post, so that players don't download rc2 again by mistake.

I decided to fool around a bit on a public server, and selected one randomly. Turns out that "Nighteam" runs a set of servers with their own premium mod, which players can purchase for continual use, or "test out" for 15 minutes, to encourage monetary support of their servers.
I hit 1 to get rid of the message in the way of my hud, only to discover that I had opted in to testing out their premium account. Here's a memorable chatlog for you:

I was wearing gunboats, liberty launcher, and the ham shank.
15 minutes later, here's some stats for you:

As far as I can tell, you get 50 HP (going over max overheal allowed) for every kill, no fall damage, explosives do 0 damage to the player who fires them, air accelerate is turned up past regular surf levels, movement speed is increased to scout level, 3 extra rockets, automatic ammo regeneration, dead ringer spy detection, and that's just for soldier.
The only problem I had was that I was going too fast to aim half the time. Not that it matters, it takes less than a second to cross a map and you can use a rocket launcher instead of a melee at close quarters.
If you want to see this excellent stuff for yourself, here's the IP of one of their servers.

Didn't STAR_ move to Boston a month or two ago? Pretty sure that we'll see a video from him soon enough....
