#17 any recommendations on parts for a new desktop? in Hardware
Foxi'm not dismantling my old computer

i read that and i realized that pardon :| but yeah the link i have shown above should give you a good idea of what you could be building.

edit: I didn't put an optical drive because i don't know much about them and i didn't know if you would be using one.

#46 tf2 sens problem in Q/A Help
profixI suggest formatting your PC and doing a fresh install of windows. Install nothing besides TF2 (and steam obviously) and try if the issue persists. If it still persists, it should be either the mouse itself or the mousepad. Alternatively try to use the mouse at a friends / or any other PC.

Does it only happen while in TF2? In any other games or the OS itself?

It would be pretty odd that you put something in your config that does this by accident. But if you want you can upload your config and I or someone else will look over it.

Cheers

he already tried most of what you mentioned and several different mice. im guessing the different mice you used had different drivers? if not try different drivers. i mean if it works in other games then i have no idea why it won't work in tf2.. chances are a format wouldn't do anything. gl ma3laa i really hope you don't quit because of this problem :(

edit: did you try turning accel off to see if that fixes it? if that's the case then theres something wrong with your accel settings or something

#6 Newbie Mixes in Events
NoonaOblivionageI love these :) it's so hard to play another one with coaches after you've played once unless u arrive early. but at least people arrange pugs later on if we have too many people
I have been elaborating on an idea for players who don't get to play much. Many people enjoy the Newbie Mixes, but due to the Newbie to Coach ratio, not many get to play as much as they would like to. I have been thinking about making in-house Newbie Pugs before/during/after the Newbie Mixes, run by one of our admins. Newbie Pugs won't be in the 3/30/13 Newbie Mix, but I will try to put this idea into full effect soon. Credit to this idea goes to lamefx.

sounds good noona hope this turns out great :)

#3 mge vs dm (aiming) in Q/A Help

hi goat :D i don't main scout but if you are flicking and missing take your time with your shots. practice and predict the enemy's movement. Don't flick randomly. hitting 2 out of 6 shots for 40 damage is worse than only shooting 3 or 4 and hitting good damage each one.

my 2 years old build.

I really should have waited for Ivy Bridge at the time :((

damn your build looks powerhungry as hell. yeah i'd recommend upgrading to sandy or ivy in the future or maybe haswell. your build looks solid though it'll last for a few more years

for tf2, get an i5-3570k or 2500k instead of that one because they're unlocked and are just better. 7870 is good for other games like bf3, fc3, crysis and shit. if you want to play both at good frames just get a 7850 and you'll be fine. tbh if u want to keep the 7870 and either of the 2 processors i listed above just get the ssd later and a $50-$60 hard drive for now and use the money u saved for a better processor. the one u picked is good and all but theres no reason not to put in a couple dollars and get the better one.
Yeah, I really don't think I'll be playing many games outside of TF2... Or at least none that require really gpu power. So you'd recommend I upgrade to the 3570k processor and get a 7850? Or could I downgrade my gpu even more to maybe a 1GB card because I'm not going to play gpu intensive games and save even more $$$ (for maybe a 120 Hz monitor :D :D). I've also heard that the mobo I currently have selected wouldn't be able to overclock with the 3570k- is that true?

if you're planning on using more than 1 monitor or a very high res 1080p monitor i'd stick with 2gb vram and the 7850. If you're not doing 1080p and just want a normal resolution on a single monitor then i'd say you should use the 650 ti(i realized theres a 7850 for the same price as a 650 ti lol..) or the 7770 i just think the 7850 is a good card for the price and what you'll be using it for.

edit: ofc you can overclock with that motherboard :P
