I dunno, I feel like CTF can't really work in TF2 too well because the fundamental design of the game mode itself can't play to the strengths and weaknesses of TF2 as a game.
Like in games like Quake, everything was faster and everyone had equal abilities/stats/weapons so it could be a lot more about individual DM. In Tribes, maps were huge and movement techniques are a large part of flag capping.
TF2 on the other hand is more about tactics and taking advantages and positioning, which is a bit slower. It ends up being more of a mobile A/D kind of thing, which is tedious and boring in my opinion.
I guess I kind of see where you're going with this idea, but there needs to be a way to keep it fresh and non-stagnant.
What do you mean HUD crosshairs? I'm using GmangHUD right now, is there a specific option or something I can use?
Either way, why use it/what's the benefit?
I think it's mainly due to nervousness/pressure. I know lots of people (I used to be like this too) who was always looking to prove that I could do something perfectly every time and ended up messing up more than succeeding, mostly due to nerves.
Eventually you may get comfortable enough with RJing in general that if you see a split second opportunity, you'll be able to create a quick jump on the fly, but if you're having trouble doing that, I've always found it helpful (for almost all parts of play, not just jumping) to make sure you take your time and do the action properly and not rushed/panicked.
It's hard, but remember, like what kirby is saying, all the nervousness you have is in your head, but if you keep attempting them, they will become like second nature to you. Just try to keep a level head and carry on.
Hey guys,
I've been hearing about the "netgraph crosshair" for some time now, and I think I saw it on a stream. What are the benefits of the crosshair versus the regular ones and how can I apply it?
Does it work on pure servers?
When trying to protect your Medic from a bomb/suicide/any form of aggression, always try to physically stay between the attacker and your Medic; even with shotguns, you can block a lot of the damage just by not allowing a line of sight.
