ultypie_heroTuryI think this guy on Reddit summed it up pretty fairly https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/4rgu6p/alton_sterling_shot_killed_by_louisiana_cops/d51dgdoHave you ever tried restraining anyone before? It is really fucking hard and i only had to restrain a young girl imagine a grown man. Even when they are on the ground they still have plenty of strength to do something, my uncle had bullet whiz past his head because he thought he had restrained someone effectively enough.
I still don't see why they had to shoot SIX times though... Something isn't right about that imo. I mean even if he was going for a gun, why is shooting him the first thing they do? They couldn't of used anything else to stop him? They already had him pinned on the ground, even if he was going for his gun, he wasn't going to get very far in that position. Like the guy in the reddit post said, I don't think they intentionally were like "Heh lets murder dis guy >:D", I think the situation just escalated to something it shouldn't have.
But he was clearly on his fucking back how could they not have put cuffs on him???
again i had to restrain someone because they were trying to hurt themselves and i had to restrain them to a bed, speaking from experience just because they are on the ground doesnt mean they cant act. People are strong especially when that adrenaline is going.
