So ive been a fan of quake live but as we all know its not up to par as the other quake games, but it has population so people tend to play it. Are there any other options other then QL that is somewhat populated and has a competitive/dueling community?

No. What he means is when you use a "duck-jump" script, which is typically just crouch and jump bound to spacebar your jumping style becomes very predictable.
Also, your actual character model is easier to hit because he is in a crouching position while flying through the air.
If you don't juse a "duck-jump" script, then when you do your initial jump and let go of crouch, your character model has a skinny profile, meaning you are essentially standing in a straight position in the air (as opposed to crouching)...this makes you harder to airshot and makes your strafe pattern harder to predict. Also, if you hit the crouch button again while in the air (after initially releasing it) it will screw up your character model and will make you even harder for the other person to airshot you.
This is what he means.
So your saying if i rj and dont let go of crouch ill be easier to hit?

snacksSpyromancerI'm still able to ctap with a duckjump script (I still have crouch alone bound to Ctrl), and I find myself doing jumps much more consistently than before I started using it.the problem with the duckjump bind/script is that your model is a lot easier to hit in the air.
kaceI have mouse4 bound to fire, shoot, and crouch. To rocket jump, I swing my mouse then I press 1 button instead of 3 (not including wasd). If that's considered a script, then I honestly don't see what the problem with it is. I can do left wall jumps, double jumps, boosts, and anything else that would ever be necessary. My binds don't affect my air strafing at all either.yeah, rocket jumping scripts aren't really a crutch but you do the exact same rocket jump all of the time and you're a lot easier to hit in the air as well.

So do you mean a jump scripts as in you press space and do a crouch jump or as in binding mouse 2 to shoot jump and crouch? For a few weeks now ive been trying space is crouch and jump and now im back to stock binds and i haven't felt a differences, Im able to do jumps using a scripts and not and never really deviate to much.

Nice trolling. I didn't realize Alabama's abortion of a first quarter and losing 29-24 is "crushing." You think because Urban Meyer runs a spread offense Ohio State could replicate A&M's? Who is the Johnny Manziel of Ohio State? Braxton Miller? A&M has one of the toughest, if not toughest, schedule in the country. They have two losses.
Alabama's strength of schedule is around 5th. They have one loss against a top ten team and a win over #7 LSU. They pretty much rolled everyone except LSU and lost a close game to A&M. They had some chances at the end and blew it. Alabama has one of the best defenses in the country and a good offense.
Ohio State's strength of schedule? 40~50. Ohio State has wins against Nebraska and Michigan. Big Ten teams that aren't even in the top ten. Six of their wins are by seven points or less. Even with an easier schedule their defense is in the 30's for yards and 40's for points. While they do have a top 20 scoring offense, when you factor in strength of schedule it drops to 21st and their defense 49th.
What match-ups do you like on Ohio State's offense vs Alabama's defense? Is Braxton Miller going to magically outrun everyone and suddenly turn in to Tom Brady when he throws the football?
Just to rile you up some more I predict Oregon, LSU, and A&M would also be heavily favored against the buckeyes. I'd also like Stanford's chances against them.
I didn't say that i said Alabama is probably going to play Notre Dame in the BCS Champ and that Alabama doesn't really deserve to play them.

They managed to go without any loses with a pretty descent schedule, seeing ND Ohio State would be a lot better then the ND Alabama game that is most likely going to happen.
