If you don't like your NA or AA meeting group you can usually find others. I was even able to find one for myself that was for atheists specifically which might be an option if all the God and Jesus stuff puts you off.

The most important part of recovery in my opinion is learning to love and forgive yourself. It's essential that you want to change for yourself and not really for anyone else. None of us are perfect, but nobody is worthless.

Being forced to play on EU servers really isn't a big issue (for US at least). European teams might get a ping advantage over us but we have the luxury of a much larger and more talented pool of players to draw from so it kinda balances out. I mean we won the nation's cup pretty handily last year so it can't be that unfair can it.

Granary was chosen for preseason because it allows newer teams to get their feet wet without having to play a map that needs a lot of preparation.

As far as gully goes, arguments were made that process has the same sort of problems gully does (excessive stalemating). Process is only really more conducive to HL just because sniper can do more. But either way we decided to keep 5cp out of the playoff maps so when real shit is on the line we won't see really boring stalematey games.

It came down to a vote between lakeside, swiftwater, or barnblitz. Lakeside just happened to be chosen. Unfortunately when you get right down to it it's difficult to assemble a map list full of perfect and varied HL maps. We're continuing to work with map makers to make maps better but it's a slow process.

Maps will be swiftwater (one round), gullywash, viaduct.

I don't really feel like typing up a huge explanation of why everything went down the way it did but basically the rules are more there to deter unsportsmanlike conduct in lower divisions where communication between teams is more difficult and trolls out for easy wins are more rampant. The admins have always expected platinum to have higher standards for itself and plat has, more or less, been self-regulating. But this season shows that we just aren't capable of that anymore so the rules will be changed next season. The pause rules for sure and I think we might see some plat specific rules put in place to ensure the highest level of competition.

I literally spoke to stabby at lan about the whole vhalin thing. I had no idea until stabby told me that vhalin ended up denying the ringer, to which I said that I was sorry about it and that it was fucked up because this is supposed to plat and we don't need to be afraid of ringers. More importantly we don't need to play dirty by denying a ringer after already giving the ok. But what did you expect any of us to do about it? Vhalin was the team leader and unfortunately held the final say. To go against his decision would've meant we would have had to appeal to an admin to get him removed from our roster and his leader login taken away.

So I'm sorry that stabby and vhalin have beef and that's why he pulled that shit, but to assume that anyone else on the team wanted to play that match like that is just plain wrong.

Oh yeah and even though it was shitty at least you had 3 days to figure shit out. We had 7 minutes. And we were already using 2 backups to start with because vhalin disappeared and deadbolt didn't want to play.

If you just wanted to win and that's why you did it, I could live with that. But trying to maintain some moral high ground over us under the guise of "karma" is insultingly delusional.

But fuck it I've been a ranking asshole in UGC for a long time so if you wanna pin that shit on me go ahead, but if I or my team aren't "good/nice guys" then ya'll sure as fuck aren't either.
