#2 North Wins DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018???? in CS2 General Discussion

frenzy_uhhhh didn't watch the grand final just tuned in last minute. But they just beat Astralis in grand finals, kinda of insane, never thought they would win anything tbh. Great to see them win something.

If anyone wants to fill me in on any highlights that would be cool.

North were so weird this tournament. Beat Astralis and Tyloo in groups quite convincingly, then destroyed Navi in quarters. Lost Dust2 as first map 16:0 to Mouz earlier today but won the bo3 and then beat Astralis 2:1 again in the finals after winning dust 2 16:1. How do you lose a map 16:0 to mouz then beat Astralis 16:1 on it hours later? only MSL knows

Anyways I can't see C9 in the Tier1 department with their current roster, Astralis is struggling aswell at the moment. And you must be joking if you count Liquid or North to Tier1, Mouz too, even tho their performance at ECS was very impressive.

VP, sure. G2 chokes all the time in big tournaments.

So only SK, Faze and maybe VP on Tier1 level my friend.

If VP is T1 then so are all the other teams listed above. Apart from Epicenter, what has VP done since Krakow?

thanks to all the casters and analysts who were great :) . Special shoutouts to Nuze who was amazing with his weather man screen and War who I really feel turned it up for this LAN. Also shoutout to Ombrack who was amazing despite being relatively new to casting.

And of course the backroom staff, the organisers etc. Shame I couldn't be there but it was an absolute joy to watch from my couch

10 years since alle slam at lan. i line at swedish border waiting to enter alle chat. i stare at the screen for hours and wish for alle to do the pogo jump on cp_reckoner last. i watch other swedish nerds play lan but if herr_p caps the point and wins dreamhack winter 2016 i cannot flame herr_p. i flame permzilla in his channel and try to resist the nazi mods but nazi mods are also flaming permzilla. the end is near. i then usually watch some old alle world records and cry myself to sleep.

rowpiecesi always thought it was very interesting when the casters would go into the team's mumbles so we can hear the comms as something plays out

i think this was mostly done in lans when team's would (i guess) use the same mumble as the casters but be in seperate channels, might be harder or just not possible outside of lan

It was stopped because people were racist, homophobic etc. in their comms and tftv stopped it because it gave the streams a very unprofessional and unwanted vibe
