if nobody in your family doesn't have mechanical skills or the willingness to learn them i would suggest to spend more than a 1000 on the car if your brother is planning to drive it for more than a few years. but if that isn't an option toyota corollas are reliable, affordable to fix and cheap. if you're buying an older model getting decent aftermarket speakers is very nice because in older cars the stock speakers tend to suck
