#15 Building a new PC in Off Topic

In terms of the CPU, I would suggest the AMD 8350 over the Intel 3570k. I own and run a 3570k and even it chugs with decent streaming settings. The 8350s 8 actual cores is a huge plus if you want to do any level of streaming.

Plus, its a bit cheaper and still a power house in and of itself.

#17 Seanbud the Tyrant! in TF2 General Discussion
DrewThat's like saying if you were scrimming some team that decided to use 24/7 spy for some reason you should just deal with it instead of not wasting your time.

I just prefer to blame myself for any deaths/faults I have instead of saying the game is somehow broken.

Also I would glad play a team (of my skill level) who played a 24/7 spy, ez wins.

I'm just anti-weapon banning in general. Banning weapons goes against my whole "blame yourself not the game" approach I take to games. If something kills me, its not because its OP, its because I don't know how to handle it and need to improve.

I don't even use DH.

Banning weapons (moreso ones allowed even in ESEA) is for baddies who can't handle them.

#6 Balancing playing classes in TF2 General Discussion

Honestly I'm much more of an HL player then 6s, my scout and soldier are *bad*, my only choice going into 6s would be medic or demo and both of those classes feel too important to go into without being fucking amazing.

#1 Balancing playing classes in TF2 General Discussion

I was originally going to call this "Balancing classes" but people would get the wrong impression.

Anyway. I'm admittedly a mid tier player with some problems with consistency. I feel like part of that problem is I don't have a "main" I can focus on, in part because I don't want too. Thats my issue.

I can't seem to stay "good" at one class, because I enjoy playing all of them. I like playing spy, pyro, engie, all those "offclasses" for the fun factor, but at the same time I want to remain a solid player. I mained Engie for my UGC Silver HL team, but thats hardly a class that seems to earn respect or have any kind of high skill ceiling. I'm having a hard time balancing my fun ("offclassing", playing random classes in pubs) and being good (focusing on one or two classes and working on mastering them). Too much grind on one class just feels like a chore, and robs me of the enjoyment I get from the game, in part because I don't feel I'm good enough at any one class to practice it without getting smashed and utterly discouraged.

Does anyone have any advice? Anyone else have this problem? Or am I forever just a scrub?

#60 Esea Client Mining Bitcoins in Off Topic
Saberplease name an example of any other north american league that offers genuine cash incentive to play and any league that offers the level of skill that ESEA does

Money wise, doesn't CEVO? I haven't paid attention to CEVO in a long time but I remember it giving cash back in the CS days.

If only leetway supported tf2.

Some people need to poke at them to expand beyond csgo.

Also maybe UGC 6v6 will finally start getting people.
