Fun to play with - he can also hold an interesting conversation with you as he's not socially awkward at all. Give him a tryout to see if he fits your team.

There have been a few changes in the lineup. We're still returning four from last season (Cole, cross, radium, zigzter) - but the chemistry of the team has changed.
We are now looking for a scout for S13. We've trialed about 4-5 so far, and I'm bumping this thread one last time as we're going to make a decision shortly about which scout we will select.
frknOkay, I will also be attending FITES. Will be driving from MD and should be able to carpool. Will be leaving from College Park, so if you live around there or anywhere between there and Harrisburg (off of 95 to Baltimore, around the western half of 695, or off of 83).
I work in the College Park area. I also live about 45 minutes north of there to boot. PM me and we'll talk over details.
He boasts some fairly effective sniping ability, and his scout is around the mid/high open area. What I really like about him though has nothing to do with his play and everything to do with his constructive mentality and willingness to learn. He does have his flaws, but who he is makes you willing to forgive them and teach him how to play better. My team might pick this guy up, but if we don't I hope he finds a good home.
An emphatic +1 from me.
The best part about playing with this guy is that you get to talk to him. He's got a dry sense of humor that takes time to get adjusted to, but once you do get used to it you'll find he's quite funny.
I've had him ring for us before and everything went pretty well.
Very good player. He wins a ton of 1v1s vs. other Open level scouts.
He was an okay player last season, but I haven't seen him since then. He handled himself well last time I played against him, and I honestly don't see any character problems in this guy.
We've been scrimming them lately - and trialing a few people ourselves while at it. They're very reputable and reasonable people, and I personally like the pickup of Cprice as pocket since he fits your system and team ability level very well.
I think they need a demo that has great damage output over anything else. Their pushes are admirably well-balanced for a mid/high open team, but what they fail to do is apply the kind of pressure that forces mistakes at mid fights and on even pushes. A little extra early damage would allow their very adept soldiers to apply additional levels of aggression into their mids/pushes.
+1. Would recommend any open demoman to trial for them.
It (them playing in IM) might be a good thing for new open teams as they'll avoid having to play this roster next season. They're good enough to make it a VERY unpleasant experience for open teams that don't have any experience together.
Players that don't have that much experience will get 5-0'd in about 10-15 minutes by this lineup - and that often causes a decent number of teams trying to learn the game to break up out of frustration.
Cute music, capn. Fun scout too, we're currently trialing him and he's been nothing short of a good sport.
Just saw this when browsing around randomly. I was really quite blown away with how good his sense of hearing is.
He's good. It's a shame he can't spend more time on his game because he really could become a force of a demoman. He puts out very good damage regardless of whether he's having an on or an off night.
Bumping, I'm starting back up this week. I'll try to clear up the picture in the coming weeks about who's in the starting lineup.
This week was sort of a wash - hopefully by the start of next week I can get the team moving again. I apologize to those of you that were expecting a trial.
While DM can take you a long way, what seems to separate average scouts from good ones is good communication and an understanding of where to be and what to cover. For this reason, I'd actually suggest pugs > MGE.
I've seen many scouts with good DM perform terribly in matchplay because they are not in tune with their team's actions.
