bump, looking to sub adv scout for the summer
does anyone know a cast/player stream for grands?
smart dude and fun to play with, definitely a good pickup :>
hope this isn't too late:
- don't spend too much time in Midtown besides seeing the major sights (Empire State, Rockefeller, Grand Central, etc). there will be better restaurants/culture elsewhere
- you can buy an unlimited weekly MetroCard at the machines in the subway for like ~$30 and get pretty much anywhere you need to using the subway/buses. use your phone for directions and it'll make everything super easy (which line(s) to take, walking directions to stations, etc.)
- highly recommend spending a few hours at the Met, there are a lot of museums in NYC but this is the holy grail. go at night on Fridays or Saturdays for a really cool late night museum vibe. hit up MoMA as well if you're more into art or want to see specific pieces that aren't at the Met
- for a cheap quick meal I'd highly recommend Halal Guys, it's open late and by Radio City Music Hall/quick walk to Central Park. there's like 4 different food carts but don't be fooled, the one on the SW corner of 53rd Street hits different
- for a very good & reasonably priced Italian dinner Il Melograno on 51st never disappoints
- walk around the Village for a bit at sunset into the night for a cool experience. check out John's on Bleeker as another poster recommended for great pizza, they don't do slices though. Joe's Pizza in the Village is a classic and unfortunately touristy spot for a slice, and there's better, but it's still quite good and you definitely won't go wrong
- Xi'an Famous Foods for a good quick lunch spot, they're all over the city
- Pizza Loves Emily in the West Village for a great burger + a lot more. might want to reserve ahead
- Chelsea Market + High Line walk like someone else recommended. good way to spend an afternoon. Los Tacos No.1 probably has the best authentic Mexican tacos in Manhattan
- if you want a nice rooftop view of Manhattan you can go to Westlight in Brooklyn. I don't believe they have a cover charge like a lot of rooftop bars in the city if you are money conscious
if you have any q's hit me up
*edit* fixed, if anyone else is having similar issues try setting "crosshair" to 1 in console
bumping this, having some trouble with the installation- followed the instructions verbatim, and I don't have a no explosions script that could be causing any issues. are there any potential conflicts with mastercomfig and its .vpk's? tested it on the default hud as well in case there were any interferences with the hud crosshair I was using, no luck. any help would be appreciated
already a really good scout and has a higher skill ceiling that hasn't even been reached yet. improving exponentially, no brainer pickup for a team looking to grow into placement adv
TobHL isn't as good as pubs imo (if your intention is to get better at 6s) because you're always thinking about spies, getting spammed w detonator, perma counter sniping, etc. In pubs, like 6s, you don't have to think about these things as much (because the players are worse. not because they're not there) and you can just chill and find out which angles work, but without the pressure of having to actually hit the shot
just want to add to this having unfortunately done both, sniping in 6s is more about being good at taking quick shots at odd angles at times so I would just pub and practice that kind of style until you're no longer thinking about your aim on the class and feel comfortable. don't over think it
durzoagain i know not everyone can afford to just drop a trillion dollars on crazy gaming equipment, but if you really want a monitor that will last, i say save up and splurge out on a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K (copy and pasted, not an ad i swear) or other such similar monitor. read up on blurbusters and make an informed decision about a purchase that could stick with you for years
seconded, I bit the bullet on the XL2546K and couldn't be happier with it. the DyAc+ feature is smoother and has less blur than a standard 240hz and I'd highly recommend giving it a try--buy it through Amazon and if you don't think it's worth it you can always do an easy return.
if anyone's a fan of the Zowie S series they just released the C versions of the S1 and S2 yesterday, which have a significant weight reduction (72g and 69g respectively) and paracord-like cable :OO
never seen rive not pound on scout, beast dm and very consistent
good med with clean mechanics, listens well and is serious about looking to review & continue improving. solid pickup for IM
deeply question my abilities and self worth
