renxzenmarmadukeGRYLLSoh yeah no doubt, i know that this was to generate hype/donations but still, what if xts won? would we really send our 4th place lan team over mixup? i'd be mad as fuck if i was mixup and even angrier if i was xts and told "yo you won buttttt we're still sending mix"
Imagine if mixup, xts or 20b pulled a dreamteam-move like mixup did after the s11-lan for i46. You are now dealing with different rosters, possible different results, now how would you decide who gets to go to i52? An online qualifier it's the best option.
At the end no one changed rosters, but still if you look at it, it was a good move because the community deserved to know that they are sending WITH their money the best teams NA can offer.

Mixup's LAN roster was going to be different then the roster they used in the qualifier.

ColemanI really don't understand this concept of tipping for the sake of tipping. I only tip if the service has been of a very high level, if it has then i'll tip. If the service has been dreadful, i leave them a few pennies to make my point. People should never expect a tip if they've done a shitty job.

yes...You would. Because ESEA counter strike is a very very small portion of the Counter Strike competitive scene. Larger eSports are played in tournaments with larger cash prizes. ESEA Counter Strike is a much lower skill level compared to their European counterparts who participate in LAN tournaments.

The top NA CS team coL (you could argue iBuy I guess) would be very happy to crack the top 4 in an international LAN.

synchroremedyit's 100% understandable why lower teams would leave esea for cevo at the moment, but acting like its going to help the game in some way is pretty wrong.If the majority of the player base is in the lower levels, and they all move to a service that's better for them, isn't that making the game better as a whole?
