manaDefinitely agree with just asking her. I made a big deal out of it for mine and that was a huge mistake. Like, hundreds of people know what I did.
During my senior year this kid got permission from the principal and hooked up this mic system so the whole school could hear it, and when the bell rang and people were walking to their next class, he was waiting in the lobby and called everyone's attention. And the school was designed in a way where every floor overlooked the lobby, so you could see what was going on in the lobby from pretty much anywhere. So literally every student in the school started watching him. He sings to this girl and asks her to prom, she said yes, the entire school saw, heartwarming stuff.
Two days later the girl changes her mind and decides to go with someone else. The entire school found out about that and there was this weird period for weeks where that's all people talked about, some people sided with the guy and some people sided with the girl, and people kept arguing about who was in the wrong, the guy for pressuring her to say yes because she didn't wanna embarrass him in front of everyone, or the girl for changing her mind and breaking his lil heart. It was like the fucking civil war.
