im not a huge community member or anything like that, but as some random joe coming back and checking up on the scene as a result of the bts tournament i was shocked to see this thread and am shocked by the behavior exhibited. im satisfied to see that quick and significant action was taken, and i hope that this can stand as a precedent for dealing with series community issues in the future.
with such a small following, this game has a lot of incredible potential to be an important social circle for people that may not have one in real life (much as i did when i initially began playing the game). i think i saw a similar statement earlier in the thread, but it is imperative that we recognize the volume of people in this community who are in a similar situation—who are just looking for friends, who are naive due to social impairment, who are simply young and fragile, and even those who just have their idea of friendship warped by the relatively strange behavior of the tf2 community.
