Setsulclocks & voltage?
Any chance of getting an 4790K?
Which motherboard?

GPU?

The 4770K got about double the raw power, so without knowing the GPU and without specifing a game all I can say is it'll be between the same fps and double the fps. About the same for GPU limited games (most games), about twice the fps for something CPU limited (TF2).

right now im stock voltage i7 860 @ 3.7ghz, I don't have any issues running games I used to stream a lot and it was at a fine line of being playable/inputlag.

I have a r9 290 and its always run everything fine,

I have no considered the 4790k because the deal im getting is only for the i7 4770k, i would like to know thew significant differences tho

so at micro center the i7 4770k is $260 and u get $60 off any motherboard u buy so I was thinking of this one

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=250811

http://www.microcenter.com/product/413248/Core_i7_4770K_35GHz_Socket_LGA_1150_Boxed_Processor

i guess the question i was trying to ask is having the i7 4770k w/ mobo combo for around $300 worth it over next few years? or should i wait until i can get a better deal in the future, this deal seems insane tho

I don't want to have to upgrade for years similiar to the initial i7 860 i bought in 2009.. lol

not sure, the UK site is different.

just read the reviews from each particular seller and make sure its more than USD $20 its a big giveaway with fakes that are priced just slightly cheaper

buy from the seller boat2014 on amazon or they are most likely fake

fakes are rampant because of how popular these things have got, if the seller is selling cheaper than $20 dont buy it

#23 Advice on Headphones $200-$400 in Hardware

@atmo my friend has a Simaudio Moon 100D/Wooaudio headphone amp and I've brought over various medicore headphones I've used through the years like sennheiser hd515s, hd202, sony mbrv6, and some JBL

These headphones were not hard to drive, the highest impedance being 80ohm.. Which compared to my hd600 300 ohm was nothing. But the simaudio really performed

I was used to hearing these headphones on a udac2 which was a decent DAC, after hearing these on my boys simaudio was unreal, ranges opened up I was able to hear and decipher between sounds and instruments much more easily

Now I use an ibasso d7 with hd600s.

Really excellent DAC/amps are underrated, you don't need to spend more than $600 and it will last a lifetime if you are really serious or into recording etc

Also don't buy a PCI sound card it will pick up all emi and sound from the fans and spinning things in your case crippling the sound. Inside a "gaming" PC is not a place to process sound lol

edit: yes I meant DAC/amp combo in my post oops.

sennheiser hd600, denon d2000, beyerdynamic dt880 all excellent choice

Also don't cheap out on a DAC/amp amazing DACs will make mediocre headphones sound amazing
